In the early 1920's Japan had occupied parts of China, and there where feelings of hate against the Japanese all over China. Jet playes a young chineese man who is sent to Japan to learn modern technology. After a fight to protect his Japanese girlfriend he learns that his master has been killed in a challenge with a Japanese martial arts expert. He hurries back to China to attend his funeral. Then he goes to seen the man who killed his master and fights him. He quickly learn that the man was no match to his master and orders the body of his master to be examined for poison. When they find poison, he realises that no one but the members of his masters martial arts school could have used the poison. He soon discovers that an evil Japanese general named Akatagawa is working in the background to keep China under Japan's control. This film is a remake of Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury (aka The Chinese Connection), and is one of the best films I have ever seen of that kind. And I really loved the role of Yasuaki Kurata in this film.
