Baby love for the star couple means threats to quit their hit shows

NEWLYWEDS Tea Leoni and David Duchovny are expecting a baby - but their close friends don't know how. While The Naked Truth star Tea has told close friends, "We are already making plans for the baby's arrival very early in the new year," the friends say there's no sign that svelte Tea is pregnant with The X Files star's baby.

There's already speculation that TV's hottest couple plan to adopt. All Tea has told friends is, "Both David and I are thrilled."

But their plan to start a family is causing chaos on the sets of both their hit TV shows as the stars make what one insider calls "outrageous demands" so they can be together when the baby arrives. Tea has already walked off her set, while David has been threatening to leave The X Files at the end of the season if production doesn't move from Vancouver to Los Angeles.

And the impending arrival of their baby is now thought to be the driving force behind his demands - 37-year-old David wants to be closer to 31-year-old Tea while she prepares for their baby.

A close friend of Tea's reveals that the couple love children very much.

"They decided when they married they wanted to have a family quickly. David has been successful financially and although Tea has no plans to retire from acting, she feels the time is right for motherhood," says the friend.

"David wanted to wait until he finished a final year in The X Files, but Tea persuaded him that it was never too soon to have a child in the family.

"David agreed and now he's trving to persuade the makers of the series to move the location from Vancouver to LA. He says there's no way he can face being apart from his family."

And even though David sends his new bride a dozen red roses and soppy, self-penned love poems every Monday, it seems Tea is still pining for her husband of six months whenever they're apart.

Tea misses David so much she's threatening to quit The Naked Truth just as it's becoming a hit. The show has just gone into its third season, but has already been through two networks and, with Tea as the only original star now left, it's again changing format.

According to one crew member, Tea has been "difficult" ever since she returned after her marriage. "Tea came back angry at everyone as if we were keeping her from her husband," he says.

Producers are furious that she's let her hair go back to its natural brunette because she's "sick of dyeing it", and she reportedly spends her time ringing David or her agents as she prepares for her big screen debut in action movie Deep Impact.

Her antics are angering others on the show too. Tea has started making "insane demands" for filming to be moved to Canada and demanded a special dressing room for when David visits.

And now the show's star has stormed off the set in protest over bad scripts.

"Tea has a contract and there'd be hell to pay for breaking it - and the last thing the producers want is an unhappy star. We're betting they will work out their differences," says the crew member.

"Till then, it they have any brains, they'll know where to find her."
