DASHING X Files star David Duchovny whisked his new bride Tea Leoni off to a truly exotic spot for their honeymoon - New York. For a whole day!
The lovestruck twosome lived intimately out of one bag for their overnight stay and supped on such delicacies as coffee from a polystyrene cup. With lots of hand-holding and street-corner cuddles, they looked more like a couple on a date than true loves celebrating the romance of a lifetime.
But like the spooky, kooky Fox Mulder on the hit show, there was a method to David's seeming marital madness. With just a sliver of a gap in his hectic schedule, besotted David had to rush Tea to the altar at his old school church, leaving a mere 24 hours before duty called again.
That duty is the only remaining glimmer of joy on the horizon for his female fans - David is busy in pre-production for the movie version of The X-Files, which begins shooting in June. The newlyweds flew from New York straight back to LA, where the look on Tea's beaming face seemed to say even a five-minute honeymoon would have been enough - so long as she spends the rest of her life with this gorgeous guy.
The star couple are already getting used to mixing business and pleasure. During that same brief New York visit, Tea squeezed in meetings with producers to kick off her own movie career beyond The Naked Truth. The woman who makes David smile intends to get the whole world laughing. She says her ambition, apart from breeding a family of Duchovnys, is to make people laugh so much it can cure cancer. Sound weird? Perhaps Tea has more in common with Fox Mulder than David!
