As for hobbies... I love watching hockey (and a variety of other  sports), traveling,  messing around with my computer, spending  time with my friends, and during the summer, I like to just be  outside...despite what my coworkers think.

My favorite professional hockey team is the Detroit Red Wings. I grew up in a big hockey area, so I could not help but love the sport.  The Northern Michigan University Wildcats have a solid hockey program, and were my first and only love in college hockey. I may be out of the state, with no plans of attending the school any time soon, but I'm a Wildcat in heart, mind, and spirit. Northern hit the big time in 1991 when they captured the NCAA Division I Hockey Championship. A lot of the best players graduated that year, and the hockey program hit a rocky spot, and started to go downhill. However, a few years ago, Northern returned to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA), and the program has picked up again. In 1998-99, the 'Cats placed second in the CCHA league.

I not only enjoy watching sports, I also love to play them. Whether it's tennis, softball, or just shooting hoops... I love it. I'm not one for competitive sports, I'd rather have fun with the teams.  When I'm not able to play, I enjoy working and playing on the web.

After I got my computer, I taught myself HTML, and started making web pages. I have a lot of fun with it, and it can be very relaxing. It's a way for me to be creative and express myself. I guess some would compare it to being an artist. If I don't want someone to see my work, I don't have to show them.

Another way I like to relax is by writing. I don't like to show people certain things that I write. There is some stuff that I'll let people read, but if/when I do that, its usually under a pseudonym.

Soap operas are also a favorite thing to watch. I've been watching All My Children pretty much since I could watch TV. Until the Air Force, that was the only soap I watched. My friends here got my following Days of Our Lives. When I went to Italy, I only had one American channel and in the mornings they would air Port
Charles, General Hospital and Guiding Light. Since they didn't air AMC, I bought the soap magazines to keep myself updated.
Through the reading, I became addicted to Another World. My
friends call me a TV junkie, and I can't deny that.
