Goofs!

(These are mostly compilations-is that a word?-from other pages...so don't jump me if you don't agree...)

1) In the first song, during one of the solos by the nuns,a kid in the background is mouthing the words.

2) After running from Snyder after the boxing match, Jack and David stop in front of a shoeshiner. It's supposed to be a hot July morning...so why can you see their breath?

3) To go along with that, you can see Jack's breath during "Santa Fe", too.

4) Why doesn't anyone in the Jacobs family besides Les have a New York accent? Mayer and Esther have accents from their countries of birth, but why don't Sarah or David have accents?

5) Aaron's majorly late in "Carrying the Banner" during "we need a good assassination".

6) Trey misses the beginning of the dance during the "Seize the Day Chorale".

7) Why aren't the Brooklyn newsies out selling newspapers?

8) If Jack doesn't want his picture taken, why does he smile for the camera?

9) They're at a newspaper stand...they're throwing tomatoes...where'd the produce come from?

10) What's Jack drinking at Tibby's? Coke?! (On past coke cans, the Coca-cola company has the date 1923 as the first year they made coke....)

11) Jack gets punched in the chin, yet has a bruise on his cheek....

12) Trey's lipsynching is super-messed up in "High Times, Hard Times" when he and Max are echoing Ann-Margret's "and I sticks out my chest".

13) Not one of those men sees Dave on the back of the carriage when Jack gets out at Pulitzer's? (Hello David....Copperfield)

14) How in the world does David push the pin through the carriage while leaning on his arm? I swear, the kid's magic... (see the above pun *smiles*)

15) And the guy watching the horse and carriage didn't notice this kid pushing the pin through and then running over to the steps?

16) When Sarah says "Mornin'" before getting attacked by the Delanceys,it's spoken with a Southern accent... (I should know, all my friends have one...)

17) And Teddy Roosevelt did have a Southern accent. But in the movie he doesn't....

18) (Got from a different page)"Why did no one hear/care to help Sarah but Jack? I mean, she had just walked by those ladies!" (Um...might I say....they were in New York. Most people up there are nice, but they prolly weren't back then.)

19) Ele's hair keep getting shorter towards the end of the movie....aren't the actors supposed to ask before they get their hair cut so it won't mess the flow of the movie up? I thought I read that somewhere...

20) When in the basement,Sarah whispers "This is where you live?",and Jack tells her "Shh! They're right above us". Then they start printing the newspaper with a press from before 1899. I don't think those are exactly quiet... Might I say contradiction in terms?

21) After "King of New York",the guys are handing out drinks. In the upper left corner of the screen,Trey's reaching for a glass, but never gets one. So he has to share one with Mush. Pretty funny once you see it.=)

22) Not a blooper,but Oscar's mouthing Trey's lines when he's flipping out at the price hike,and it's pretty funny.=)

23) When Pulitzer's reading the "Trolley Strike Drags On For Third Week" headline, his magnifying glass is way behind what he's reading.

24) Right after Jack says "cruisin' the merchandise,Mr. Weasle",and they show the newsies in line,if you listen carefully, you can hear Aaron call Trey "Parker." (if you go to Ally's page,I'm the Tiffany that told her.....*smiles*)

25) When Racetrack's bargaining with Weasel for papes, right after Weasel says "Uh huh",you can hear some sing-song thing in the background that *sounds like* a cross between "Dave is just that way" and "Jacky just got laid".

26) When Jack is riding the horse in "Santa Fe",the horse walks by and you can see that the horse has cotton in his ear so that the noise on the set wont scare him. (thanx )
