Got tipped off on your site by Mike Baxter. Cool Site Indeed! Mike had the good idea of writing Janes/EA to come up with a patch that would update FA too include 3D graphics, etc. I think an actual "Campaign Editor" program add-on would be great also.
Maybe if enough folks write them...

About the .CAM files... If you put your .CAM file AND the missions (starting with '~') in a .LIB file and name it f.ex. 'mycam_0.LIB' you will considerably lower the amount of 'loose' files in the ATFG/FA/USNF directory. (You have to manually edit the LIB
'Item.Dat' file to include the .CAM file.)

I'm having problems making campaigns. I take one of the original .cam files, bring it up in Word, change all the mission filenames to match my own missions, and save the changes as the desired filename. When I run FA, my campaign name and description come
up fine, but when I try to play the first mission, the game crashes (actually just quits and exits back to windows). I think the problem may be my use of Word as a hex editor. I've also tried editing using edit.com. Either way, any .cam file modified usi
g one of those programs causes FA to crash. How can I properly edit the .cam files? What program should I use?
