When a star turns 23, it's a big deal....and the Boyz II Men crowd turned out to pay tribute to a fine young man!
It almost seemed like an award show or something being held recently when a chocalate rainbow of talented begins from the tube, big screen, square ring, and our CD collections all migrated towards the skylights beaming abov Melrose avenue. The occasion, or rather event, was a celebration in honor of the twenty-third anniversary of the birth of one Shawn "Slim" Stockman, of the super-hit quartet Boyz II Men....and it was on, yo!
Georgia's, The Los Angeles Eatery, which features southern cusine, is co-owned by Denzel Washington, Debbie Allen, and several other notables. On this particular Sunday evening, the only star in the house was Shawn, who did the meet and greet thang as he partied his way further from being a boyz and deeper into his manhood.
Brining flava to the decor at Georgia's, and wishing Shawn a happy one were: Brandy, Gary Coleman, Eric Lasalle, Darius McCreary, Brownstone, Shawn Wayans, Tommy Hearns, Dis 'N' Dat, Tyrese Gibson, Willie Norwood, JR. (aka Ray J.), Chris Rock, BBD, Wanya Morris, Lark Voohries, Jermaine Jackson, Carl Martin (of Shai), Bill Bellamy, Marlon Wayans, As Yet Untitled, Tisha Campbell, BET's Paula Bond, Downtown Julie Brown, Unique, Faith Evans, Tam Rock, Jon John, Kid Flash, Arnelle Simson, and Glenn Plummer.
