The fireworks were in the house as Boyz II Men, TLC, and Montell Jordan landed in the Greensboro Coliseum last Thursday night. The crowd of roughly 5,000 paid $30 per ticket to watch the three hottest acts perform their music in Greensboro. For some that was expensive to watch their favorite recording artist.
The headline act, Boyz II Men, proved to be the highlight of the evening. The act, which included different stage effects such as a flame and an explosion during their opening song, wooed the crowd. During the song, "Water Runs Dry" an illusion of made believe rain fell from the sky.
The show was good, although many felt that because they had been in North Carolina three times within the past six months, the market had been saturated. But they remain one of the hottest groups in the nation, with record sales in excess of 16 million copies.
