Complete Review: The album 'Evolution' is the best from Boyz II Men yet. I'm crazy about this album, particulary the song "4 Seasons of Loneliness." It's the most touching song ever. It speaks of the way true love makes people feel and the pain lost love causes to people. It was very touching that the person in the song loves the girl so much, enough that four whole seasons passed by without a single day in which he could live without her way touching and certainly the best!

Complete Review: This effort from Boyz II Men, is all we have come to expect from the greatest group of all time. The smooth harmonies and blend of these four is captured again and again throughout this whole album. "Can You Stand the Rain" shows off their incredible acapella skills and "Can't Let Her Go" is another shake your booty song that was put together well. "4 Seasons of Loneliness" and "Doin' Just Fine" once again show that they are the masters of the slow jam and it's the perfect group to put on in those romantic moments.

Complete Review: The album is great. I like "Doin' Just Fine," which is great music, although I didn't like it the first time I heard it. "4 Seasons of Loneliness" is a great song and a great video. All those songs are truly great, but "Dear God" is the most inspiring of theirs yet. Maybe this album isn't as great as 'II,' but it's sill really great and packed with great songs that you can listen to anytime!

Complete Review: As big a fan as I am, the guys phoned this one in. It lacks the energy of their last two albums. The gems on the album are "Doin' Just Fine" and "Dear God." The disappointment was the cover of "Can You Stand the Rain." The Boyz ung the song just like New Edition did in '88. They barely changed anything. Word of advice on the next album, get new producers and don't be afraid to do something new.

Complete Review: This is a typical strong Boyz II Men album. No question in my mind that the guys put a lot of hard work into it and they've made some great music. Some individual comments: "A Song for Mama": This song is without questioning my favorite. Typical Babyface, and the Boyz sing it perfectly. One of the best songs ever produced. "Doin' Just Fine": Also an excellent song. The two conflicting emotions Shawn sings it with are great. "4 Seasons of Loneliness": At first, I wasn't too thrilled about it, but the Boyz can make any bad song look half decent. Also, the music video is the best of the three made thus far. "Can't Let Her Go": In a Da Mix interview on MuchMusic, they told the host they were looking for a more uptempo theme to the album, and this song is probably the best of the uptempo stuff. A pretty decent single by anyone else's standards, slightly disappointing by Boyz II Men standards, although credit is due for trying. "Girl in the Life Magazine": The worst song on the album. Alsolutely pathetic effort. The song had no rhythm and even the Boyz's golden voices couldn't save the pathetic melody on this one. As usual, the slow songs kick some serious butt and will be ringing in my ears forever. However, the uptempo songs need some work. Hopefully, they'll continue to work had and put those perfect voices to use.

Complete Review: This CD was the bomb!!! The bottom line is that Boyz II Men are the best. For those that don't like "Girl in the Life Magazine" are nuts!!!! You have to know music and understand the song to enjoy it. The vocals are dead tight. You have to understand that "Girl in the Life Magazine" is on an upper level than most songs. I'd suggest you all go back and understand the song.

Complete Review: Like the albums before it, Boyz II Men has created another fine collection of smooth songs, funky beats, and inspiring ballads. Perhaps not as great as II, Evolution still rates as one of the greatest R&B CD's ever put out and there are many reasons for this claim. Beginning with the first single, "4 Seasons of Loneliness," we have a song that matches the emotional greatness of their other monster hits, "End of the Road" & "On Bended Knee," and is very clerly my favorite track on the album. Coming very close to that are some of the more lyrically impressive, musically, and vocally impressive "Doin' Just Fine," "Never," and "Just Hold On." These three songs run parellel to the very best of Boyz II Men's ballads including "Water Runs Dry," "Trying Times," and "It's so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday." Boyz II Men also show that they can be funky with the help of Puffy and Keith Crouch who produce the goods with ease. Probably the better of the funkier tracks is "Can't Let Her Go" and Baby C'Mon," but "Human II (Don't Turn Your Back on Me)" is a personal favorite. One of the most frequently played tracks on my stereo is the New Edition cover of "Can You Stand the Rain," I love this song and it ranks as the best acapella song the Boyz have done, yet perhaps beating "Thank You" and "In the Still of the Nite (I'll Remember)." Babyface has once again helped Boyz II Men in writing some great songs on the CD. His stirring "A Song for Mama" has a great musical background, and "Girl in the Life Magazine" is also a fine effort. Overall, Evolution is well worth it and for Boyz II Men fans it is no disappointment, it is sull of great songs that almost all of which rate as my favorite Boyz II Men songs of all-time. While not as unstoppable as II, it comes extremely close. I love this album!!
