In early 1998, a poll was taken of the class of 2001, to
see what would happen in 30 years. Boyz II Men were voted

around for at least thirty more years. Let's hope that comes true.
In a People Magazine Poll, in April of 1998, Boyz II Men
came in at #3 as the most popular group with 3.8% of the

Shawn: M- JoAnn Stockman; F-Thurman Sanders, and Wanya:
M-Carla Morris; F-Dallas Thorton.

Michael: 15 brothers and sisters (to numerous to name
all).
Shawn: 7 brothers-Mark, Chris, Rodney, (another) Mark,
Thurman, Steven, and David; 2 sisters-Taterea, and
Deborah.
Wanya: 2 sisters-Dorothy and Serene; 1
brother-Keri.
All four members met at The Creative
and Performing Arts High School of Philadelphia in the
1980's sometime.
When Shawn and Nate were on the phone
one day, Shawn heard the song "Boys to Men" by New Edition
on the radio, and the name seemed to fit them. The name
before Boyz II Men was Unique Attraction.
When Nate was forming the group in the
1980's, members were coming in and out. One of those people
was Marc Nelson, who "betrayed" the group in a way by going
to another R&B group early this year, but left because he
wanted to persue a solo career. He got kicked out of Boyz
II Men though because of some of the things he was
saying.
In 1989, they snuck into The
Powerhouse
in Philly for a local radio station's annual concert. Then
they snuck
backstage just to have someone in the biz hear them. They
got Michael Bivins (New Edition & BBD) to listen to them
sing "Can You Stand The Rain" by New Edition, and the rest
is history. They were finally signed to Motown Records/Biv
Entertainment in March of 1990.
All four members appeared in two made
for
TV movies, The Jacksons: An American Dream, and a Cool Like
That Christmas. Mike, has appeared in two movies on the
big
screen, How To Be a Player, and Hoodlum.
Stonecreek Studios in Gladwyne,
Pennsylvania is
the studio that Boyz II Men bought on May 19th, 1995. They
got that name when they looked outside a window in the
place and there was a big creek with stones in it, so that
pretty much explains it. On Feburary 14th, 1996, Boyz II
Men started their own record label, appropiately called
Stonecreek Recordings, on Sony, not Motown. That label has now been shut down due to barely any success.
I know for a fact that Nate has three
dalmations, (Sunshine, Alex, and Pistachio), Mike has 3
dogs, Rocky, Cleo, and another that I don't know the name
of. Shawn has a yorkish terrior named Little Shawn. Wanya
has a dog named Creme, which is a sharpei.
Cooleyhighharmony (the original
version) was released on Feburary 14th, 1991.
Christmas Interpretations was released on October 5th,
1993.
II was released on August 30th, 1994.
The Remix Collection was released on November 5th,
1995.
Evolution & Evolucion were released on September 23rd,
1997.
