The newz stories are now divided into the newest Newz (this section) and the Old Newz.
Shawn is Now a Daddy!
6-1-03: I don't usually like posting personal news, but I know a lot of you want to know about this. According to "Friend" over at the message board, Shawn's wife Sharonda gave birth to twin boys Friday evening, May 30th. Hopefully, more confirmation will come out about this. Congratulations, Shawn and Sharonda!
Boyz II Men Have Been Dropped From Arista Records
6-1-03: I'm sure most of you know this already, but Boyz II Men were officially dropped from Arista Records on April 30th. "112" over at the message board read this in Vibe Magazine: "Boyz II Men is no longer in our family. We dropped them, they are not the same group I knew a long time ago. There are a lot of problems inside the group and we can't accept this on Arista. We want success but Boyz II Men can't give it to Arista. The future of this group is written in the stars and not in an Arista contract." So, yet another record label screws with Boyz II Men. We'll have to see what happens with Boyz II Men, the trio as they work on a remake album to submit to record labels.
Boyz Bring Motownphilly to Guam
6-1-03: Thanks to "lookhere" over at the message board, Wanya and Shawn did an interview that revealed some new things. Go to http://cityguide.guampdn.com/fe/recreation/20030306-1112259.asp to check it out.
Vote for Cooleyhighharmony at MTV2
6-1-03: Thanks to Roberto and Sakinah over at the message board, MTV2 is picking the 22 Greatest Albums of the past 2 decades, and Cooleyhighharmony is on the list. Visitors to their site are able to pick the album that is the most influential to them. The show will air in the fall, so we have a couple more months to vote and get the Boyz on television, for once! :) Here is where you can vote: http://www.mtv.com/onair/mtv2/22_greatest/cds/index.jhtml.
Boyz II Men Do a Tribute Song Dedicated to Aaliyah
8-24-02: This newz came out of the blue. Yesterday, I found a web site that has the new song by Boyz II Men called "The Aaliyah Song." Download it here.
Boyz II Men on Tom Joyner's Morning Show (Radio)
8-8-02: Thanks to Rosalyn, Boyz II Men called into Tom Joyner's Morning Show today. They talked about several things but most importantly talked about touring. They said that they are right now in the process of getting a promo tour together. They will be on a promotional tour starting August 14th and that tour will last a couple of weeks. Then ten days after that tour is done, they will go on another tour and that will be like a real tour that will be in select cities only. They said they will be telling Tom Joyner the dates and locations so that he can shout them out on the radio. I do know that they will be in Philly on the 13th and will be in Chicago on or around the 16th.
Update from Challenge for the Children 4
7-29-02: *NSYNC's 4th annual Challenge for the Children event took place this weekend in Orlando, Florida. Nate and Shawn participated in the event this year. It started Friday night with a press conference and a party at The Groove at Universal Studio's City Walk. Nate was on the Daze team (Justin and JC's team) and Shawn was on the Knights team (Chris and Joey's team). On Saturday, the second annual Skills Challenge took place. At the end of the Skills Challenge the score was the Knights 35 and the Daze 10. The actual game took place on Sunday afternoon. By one point, the Knights won with a score of 157 to the Daze's score of 156. But, the real winners at this event were the charities (including *NSYNC's Challenge for the Children Charity and the Justin Timberlake Foundation). They doubled last year's total by raising $2 million. I have found many pictures of Shawn and Nate from all of the events, and I will be posting them as soon as possible.
Nate and Shawn to Patricipate in a Charity Sports Weekend with *NSYNC
7-19-02: Well, I am not surprised by this newz at all. Nate and Shawn will be participating *NSYNC's 4th Annual Challenge for the Children Weekend Event on July 27th and July 28th. It will be held at the TD Waterhouse in Orlando, Florida. When I heard Boyz II Men were under the same management team as *NSYNC, I knew some of the members would go down to Orlando to participate since most of Johnny's artists have always participated in the event. It is a 2-day event. On July 27th, there is a skills challenge filled with obstacle courses and other activites for the celebrities. Last year there was a dunk tank, a slam dunk contest, and an obstacle course in Shaq's jersey among other things. On July 28th, the big basketball game between the Daze and the Knights takes place. I don't know which teams Nate and Shawn are on, they have not been announced yet. I would advise all of you to check out ALL of the entertainment shows on July 29th to see possible highlights of Nate and Shawn in action. It's no secret that I'm an *NSYNC fan and every year they hold this event, it is all over the entertainment shows. Make sure to check out E! News Daily, Entertainment Tonight, Extra!, Inside Edition, and Access Hollywood (Access Hollywood usually shows the most from the event). I believe tickets are still available for the event. So, if you are in the Orlando area, check out Ticketmaster for more information. Here is the full list of participants in the game:

Joey Fatone from *NSYNC Talks About His First Concert
7-7-02: In the August issue of J-14 magazine, Joey Fatone from *NSYNC talks about the first concert he ever attended. Here's what he had to say: "When I was young, I never got to see any concerts in New York, but when I moved to Florida, I saw Boyz II Men. It was amazing because they came out dancing and they took out candles and the effects were like, whoa!" I thought that was kind of cool to see. I believe Britney Spears' first concert was also a Boyz II Men one.
Johnny Wright is Boyz II Men's New Manager
6-25-02: Thanks to Lisajaye (again!). She found the story at the hitsdailydouble.com site. I personally think Johnny Wright is the perfect choice for the Boyz right now. He knows how to make a group big and I think he will support the Boyz 100%. I am also a *NSYNC fan and we all know how successful they have become with Johnny behind them. Here's the little snippet:
BOYZ MAKE WRIGHT CHOICE: Arista recording artists Boyz II Men have inked a management deal with Johnny Wright and his Wright Entertainment Group. Boyz II Men join a client list that includes *NSYNC, Britney Spears, P. Diddy and newcomers, Dante Thomas, 3rd Faze, Christina Milian and Triple Image. Boyz II Men parted ways with longtime manager Qadree El-Amin in April.
Here is another excerpt from an article by launch:
Boyz member Shawn Stockman said the group is glad to link with Wright. "We feel that he is the best person for us at this time," Stockman said via statement. "His track record speaks for itself, and his accomplishments are unparalleled. We are happy to be a part of such an elite management team."
Wright added that he is equally excited about working with the group, which has sold more than 60,000,000 albums. "They are extremely talented individuals who have, in the 10 short years they've been singing together as a group, made pop and R&B music history," Wright said in a statement. "What they have already accomplished pales in comparison with what, I know, is yet to come."
Longtime Boyz Manager is Gone
5-15-02: Yes, this is old newz and a lot of you know this already and told me about it, but here it is again. This is from hitsdailydouble.com and lisajaye's Webheadz site: Boyz II Men has parted ways with longtime manager Quadree El-Amin of Southpaw Entertainment, and is currently seeking new representation. Legal eagle Fred Goldring is running point for the group.
