Complete Review: I think that the all around feel is relaxing and mellowing. I think it is the album to listen to with your women. "Dreams" is a sheer beautiful song and I'm in awe listening to "Pass You By." I also like "Thank You in Advance." Boyz II Men are a damn good R&B group and probably the best of all-time.

Inspiring Song: I Finally Know
Complete Review: This album demonstrates Boyz II Men at their electrifying best and no R&B group in the last decade has been able to match their high standards. A mix of scrumptious ballads and funky uptempo tracks, the album
manages to stay true to the original essence of the group. It is the ballads that all real Boyz II Men fans have wanted to hear and they did not disapoint. "I Finally Know" is the first and I think the best ballad on the album. The lyrics which decsribe how a man realizes that his female friend is actually the one for him manages to pull at the heart strings, but avoids the slushy feeling that you get with other R&B groups. The secret to this track is the harmonies. The group did not use the standard block harmonies that many of their pop contemporaries use, but instead have multi-layered, and texturized
harmonies with ad libs providing secondary melodies and depth. There are very
few artists who seem to use this extensively. Mariah carey is one of the others which is why "One Sweet Day" was so incredible. The other big ballad to me is "Dreams." Again, the guys do not just stick to using thirds for the harmonies but fifths and sevenths to create a full, but still airy feeling on this track. Here they are talking about being far away from the one that you love and seeing them in your dreams. Shawn's voice really comes to the forefront on this track and provides some vocals that will make your hair stand on end. The sincerity with which the Boyz sing these tracks makes them something to behold. The guys have also set out to show that they can keep up with young pack with some comtemporary uptempo tracks. "Beautiful Women" is by far the best of these. This is a jeep bouncing summer track with a feel good
bass line where they show the versitility of their vocal styles in being able to adapt to the beat of this track. "Good Guy" is another track where the guys use some fast-paced staccato vocals to send this dance floor track soaring. "Step On Up" is an old school track reminiscent of Michael Jackson's Off the Wall album, showing some of the Boyz' musical influences. "Bounce, Shake, Move, Swing" is a sort of dance track where they have been a bit experimental and for me it dosen't really work. It has a phycadellic feeling to it and I do not feel it does anything for the group. Overall, the album is first class and unlike alot of the R&B out today, like Sisqo, this is an album that put the soul music back into R&B and is an album you will be listening to for a long time to come.

Complete Review: Well, I love this CD, it is their best CD since II. Every song is tight as hell and it shows the Boyz are not out of the game at all! I am just bitter because of the bonus tracks that appear on imported versions of the CD. I mean, that is what I hate about the music biz. They originate here in the USA (Philly, to be exact) and then Japan gets six more tracks? They barely understand what they are saying and then we have the spend $30 for the CD? I dunno, thank God for Napster, but I can't find "Marry Me." If someone has it, help me!!! Other than that, the CD is dope, I can't wait until the Arista release, peace y'all. One luv.

Inspiring Song: Do You Remember
Complete Review: I love this album, it's one of their best. The Boyz are really growing as song writers. I wish Babyface or Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis could've written some songs on it. But, Shep Crawford's "Thank You in Advance" has all the magic of Boyz II Men's classic songs. I also think "Pass You By" and "Dreams" are beautiful. My favorite is "Do You Remember" because it gives you such a sweet, warm feeling when you hear it. It's the perfect way to end the album. The only thing I can say bad about this album is that I honestly think they could've been more innovative on some with some of the songs. "Beautiful Women" could've been a Sisqo song. And Boyz II Men should always be the ones leading the pack. It's a shame they didn't get better promotion. But you can't always sell 10 million. As long as their music is good and their voices are beautiful I'll be with them forever.

Complete Review: It's very different, and I understand how they must mature, so I guess it's good for the times. I love it and all, but I think it would've been soooo much more successful had they released the proper songs after "Pass You By," they should have released "Dreams." That song would have been another smash hit, and won them tons of awards for sure!!!! Oh well, I still love it, and love them, it's a good album!!! Hopefully, with their next album, they will go back to their roots (Cooleyhighharmoney style!) I love you Boyz!

Complete Review: Pretenders to the thone step away, the original boys are back and better than ever! After nearly two years since Evolution, Boyz II Men return with their brand new album, Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya. And since talking a break at the top of the R&B ladder, they stroll right back there with an album so typical of what the R&B boys of today fail to produce. Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya provides a mix of classic Boyz II Men ballads, modern R&B and sides to the boys they they had never shown before. That shows just how multi-talented this group actually is. The first single "Pass You By," sets the trend of an album as smooth and silky as anything released this year. Following the same theme of "Pass You By," comes the album's highlights, "Dreams" which will undoubtedly become a modern classic and just exemplifies Boyz II Men, and "Thank You in Advance" which may just be the cleverest love song I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. As for the rest of the album there is much to be appreciated. Going from the Latin influenced "Beautiful Women" to the accapella "I Do" to the very up-to-date "Good Guy," showing that the Boyz can easily move with the times as good as anyone. You can even forgive the cringe-making attempt of a dance track in "Bounce Move Shake Swing." To say this album was worth the wait is an understatement. It's not just a must for Boyz II Men fans, maybe not even R&B fans, but for music fans alike. The Boyz are most defiantly back in town.

Complete Review: Let us not fool ourselves. In comparison to their first three albums, this album sucks. I agree with other critics who say they should of had Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Babyface or Brian McKnight composed tunes on the album. If they have another album I hope it's better than this or Boyz II Men will be starting right at the bottom again on the music scene.

Complete Review: Man, I love the song, "Pass You By." At first, I didn't know what this song meant. Then I started to date someone and I was too afraid to open up to him and give him my heart because I have had some bad relationships and I didn't want to get hurt again. So, my boyfriend sung that song to me and it did hit home to me. Thank you for making that song. It really opened my eyes because the person that I have been looking for all my life was about to pass me by.
