Complete Review: Pretenders to the thrown step away, the original Boyz are back and yes better then ever! After nearly two years since Evolution, Boyz II Men return with their brand new album Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya. Since taking a break at the top of the R&B ladder, they stroll right back there with an album so typical of what the R&B boys of today just fail to produce. Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya provides a mix of classic Boyz II Men ballads, modern R&B and sides to the boys they we have failed to see before showing just how multi-talented this group actually is. The first single, "Pass You By," just sets the trend of an album as smooth and silky as anything released this year. Following the same theme of "Pass You By" comes the album's highlight, "Dreams" which will undoubtedly become a modern classic and just epitimizes Boyz II Men. "Thank You in Advance" may just be the cleverest love song I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. As for the rest of the album, there is much to be appreciated. Going from the Latin influenced "Beautiful Women" the a capella "I Do," to the bang up to date "Good Guy" showing that the Boyz can easily move with the times as good as anyone. You can even forgive the cringe-making attempt of a dance track in "Bounce, Shake, Move, Swing." To say this album was worth the wait is an understatement and not just a must for Boyz II Men fans, maybe not even R&B fans but for music fans alike. The Boyz are most definetly back in town.

Complete Review: When I went into the CD store to listen to it for the first time, "I Do" caught my ear. "Bounce, Shake, Move, Swing" REALLY didn't work for them. I really enjoyed the "classic" ballad types like "Pass You By," etc. A good album overall. :) I've rated the album 7.5 only because they've done better!

Complete Review: I was very impressed with the self production of the album. It was nice to see the Boyz do their own thing for a change. "Bounce, Shake, Move, Swing" was a bad choice for track #4. A better choice would have been one of the bonus Japanese album tracks like "Marry Me or "Darlin'." "Thank You In Advance" had that old Boyz style flavor reminiscent of II and Cooleyhighharmony that reminds us of how perfect in harmony and style the Boyz really are. "I Do" once again demonstrated the Boyz great ability to make a song a capella and their versatility in adapting to many different styles. "Good Guy" had that nice Latin guitar uptempo to it that has been made very popular recently. The song "I Finally Know" reminded me of how special best friends really are and how if we are at that point in our lives when we are looking for that one true love they could be right there under our noses in the form of our "best friend."

I believe they could have done without "Bounce, Shake, Move, Swing," but at least they took a chance with a genre they never used before. "Thank You In Advance" was a great song, but the video was just wrong for the song. Overall, I think this is their second best album, close behind II.

Complete Review: The entire album is good except for "Bounce, Shake, Move, Swing." That style of music is not Boyz II Men. The harmonies and lift of their voices that they bring is just incredible. Like in all their previous albums, the Boyz take us all through an emotional ride that we can all relate to no matter what age or generation. "Pass You By" is a great song because it talks about not giving up. Just because you had a bad experience in love doesn't mean that you have to give up on it. No other group on this earth can bring it to you like Boyz II Men. They are by far the best.

Complete Review: This is probably the best album that the fellas have done, eventhough it doesn't show in the record sales. What made it better than II is the fact that it was mostly written and produced by the Boyz or someone in their camp. There is something for everyone on this album. You have your club tune "Bounce Shake, Move, Swing" which I can't help but to bounce to...and the hauntingly emotional tunes "Lovely" (which is probably the best song on the album thanks to shawn and wanya's vocal four play), as well as "Never Go Away." "I Finally Know" gives you a similar feel that "Trying Times" gave from II. You can also hear influences from Babyface on the song "Do You Remember" and a perfect wedding song in "I Do." The perfect romance album. The only thing that's missing is a remake. If you liked II then you don't want to let this one pass you by.
