You betcha! These four honeys, who you know from the single "End of the Road" have been working their behinds off in order to lay out the very best show for you!
You might have already imagined that getting ready to perform a musical concert is not as easy as 1-2-3! Although those great singers and dancers Boyz II Men make it seem so natural and simple to entertain thousands of folks at a time while doing tunes from their debut LP Cooleyhighharmony, they go to great lengths to make themselves look and sound picture perfect each concert.
First of all, the four guys in Boyz II Men-Nathan "Alex Vanderpool" Morris, Michael "Bass" McCary, Wanya "Squirt" Morris, and Shawn "Slim" Stockman-find that they need plenty of good rest!
"We all need a lot of sleep, but we've learned to do with fewer hours than we'd like because of the schedule we have," explains 21-year-old Nathan.
"I think we have to rest more than other entertainers who depend on pre-recorded tracks and their bands' instruments to take over their performances. Boyz II Men rely completely on our voices-if they are worn out then it's near to impossible to get out on stage and sound how we should," concludes the black haired cutie.
And sounding the best they can to please you is exactly what Boyz II Men are all about! Nathan, Michael, Wanya, and Shawn have come up with their own recipe for successfully honing their voices.
While on their most recent tour with Hammer, the Boyz had a vocal coach who helped them strengthen their already sweet sounds. The guys also drink warm tea before performances to keep their voices clear. And most importantly, Boyz II Men practice, practice, practice!
"Our voices will..."
"Nate came up with a theory that if we sing consistenly, then our voices will stay in shape," informs 19-year-old Wanya. "So our warm-ups before a performance are really just us singing songs we like-for instance the songs we did when we were going to high school together back in Philadelphia."
Yet Nathan, Michael (who's 21), Wanya, and Shawn realize that you like more than just good singing when you go to a concert. You want a performance! That's why these Philadelphia, Pennsylvania born-and-raised guys work hard on choreographing moves that are smooth and sweet and that go along perfectly with their tunes.
Giving Ya What You Want!
And last, but not least, although Boyz II Men like best to express their creativity by singing ballads, they know how much you love to jam, so they always fit dance tunes into their performances.
"Even though ballads are nice, uptempo songs are important because they make our fans happy! And that's what we're here to do!" enthuses Shawn.
