Boyz Member Lauds Fellow VH1 Honorees

"It's always nice to be honored," says Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men, one of this year's eight honorees. "We're definetly going to enjoy ourselves when we're there."

Since Boyz II Men - which plays July 7 at Pine Knob and August 29 at the Michigan State Fair - is the youngest act of the batch, Stockman took a few minutes to comment on some of the other honorees:

Michael Jackson: "During the past few years, we've grown a little bit closer to Mike. We've had the honor to find out he's one of the nicest men we've ever met. He puts a lot of heart and soul into his work."

Whitney Houston: "Whitney's like a home girl for us. We call her 'Auntie.' From the first time we met, she became real close to us. Every time we see each other, we try to give each other love. Whitney's our girl."

Annie Lennox: "She's cool. I liked when she in Eurythmics. And she has a couple songs that're fly, like 'Walking on Broken Glass.'"

Vince Gill: "We've never met Vince Gill, but he has a real dope voice, especially that high range. We dig his voice, no doubt."

Bette Midler: "I don't know many of her songs, but I love her acting. 'Wind Beneath My Wings' was pretty popular, wasn't it?"
