It won't be today. It won't be tomorrow. But it might not
be long before Boyz II Men branches out beyond the music
biz and
into your local theater. Nathan Morris and Shawn Stockman
have been less vocal about working in films, but Wanya
Morris, and Michael McCary have made it clear that's one
direction they'd like to see their group take.
"I like pretty much everything," Michael said when asked
about what type of movie the Boyz might like to act in.
"And I have a strong interest also in writing for movies."
Michael's even written down a few lengthy ideas for films
that he hopes someday get made.
Wanya seconds that, reporting that he's been busy
brainstorming for the big screen as well. "I have three
that I'm writing now," he's revealed. "One is about best
friends. One is about a girl growing up in the projects
trying to be anything but a gangster girl. Another one is
about a girl whose family dies, and she sees them die and
wants revenge on the people who killed her family. I
mean, you know, basic stories."
But does all of this mean the Boyz plan to give up music?
Hardly. After all, who would sing on the soundtrack?
