Wanya Morris Class Clown

Wanya keeps the rest of the Boyz (and just about everyone he meets) in stitches. But that doesn't mean he doesn't take his music seriously.

Wanya Morris loves laughing as much as he loves a chaellenge-and sometimes he gets both at the same time. Upon meeting someone for the first time, he can make even the most introverted person crack up, but one fan was so nervous, instead of laughing, she just wet her pants. Ah, the life of a superstar.

Speaking of challenges, Wanya says that working with Babyface on Boyz II Men's current LP was the most interesting experience he's ever had in the recording studio. "Babyface was the challenge," says Wanya. "Babyface is a worker, and we're workers. We were working until our voices burned out. Babyface has a method that's different from anyone else's. There's nothing easy about it. He pushes."

Wanya gives himsef his own unique style within the confines of the group's "Alex Vanderpool" look by tyinng his sweater or jacket around his neck or shoulders while others are wearing them the proper way.

He takes being a Leo very seriously, especially that sign's penchant for being loyal to old friends. Despite his great fame and wealth, Wanya still cruises his old Philly neighborhood looking for friends and asking them to hop in. Wanya loves to show off his Leo tattoo and diamond studs in each ear.

Speaking of studs, it's a well-known fact that Wanya's outgoing personality is a winner with the ladies. Without trying, he can make girls swoon, but when he sees it happening, he just laughs. He does not use his celebrity status to impress women, and prefers to date outside the music business.

Wanya is perhaps the most interesting member of Boyz II Men to interview because when you ask him a question, he thinks about it for at least five minutes before answering. He'll also be brutally honest, going as far as teasing you about a habit or physical trait. Of course, he does it in a playful, not hurtful way.

Wanya's good spirit is contagiuous to all around him - and it's not unusual for fans to comment "how real" a person he is. His free time is spent shopping for clothes, writing music, playing video games, going out to the movies, or just relaxing at home. "Squirt's" only complaint about fame is that he is too busy to have a more handson situation when it comes to guiding Boyz II Men's career.
