The Very cool story of love, martial arts and the Flying* martial artists (*actual Big leap).

Ang Lee brings the Story of two warriors in love and a mischevious rich girl.

Filled with beautiful scenery, and the Mandarin Chinese language (subtitles are in English). and cool special effects.

Clearly this is a foreign film that has gotten lots of press, like "Life is Beautiful". It's a fantasy story set in ancient China, a Warrior Bu Lin (Yun-Fat) wants to leave his warrior life away by giving his sword, "The Green Destiny" a very sharp sword that can break other swords, to Lee(not Ang Lee). Lee thinks that the gift is too precious to be given to him, so he asks Bu Lin's girlfriend warrior (Yeoh) what he thinks about the gift. Yeoh meets the Governor's Daughter (Ziyi) who loves warrior life more than being an aristocrat. What follows is a story filled with Chinese philosophy of life, and really cool martial arts sequences. Ziyi is extremely beautiful in the clothing she wears, but her biggest catch is she knows martial arts. The martial art in this movie is called Wudan or Chiang Hi or something. The Coolnees of the Fly like big leaps shown in this film make it more of a fantasy story, because obviously no human could do such a thing. The use of wires to do it is digitally taken out. About halfway through the film we get a long Flashback sequence about Ziyi's character. There is great attention to detail in this movie, each set has things of beautiful shapes and colors, and a Chinese version of the Grand Canyon which is extremely beautiful.

10/10 A Very good story, characters very interesting,Martial Arts action intense and cool. 95%/100% some croud scenes are blurry. 1
