A Sniper during WWII battle at Stalingrad becomes a hero because of journalist and a lover, by a female sniper. But when his fame gets the best of him, the Germans send Koenig their best sniper, to kill him.

A very exhibitionistic and sneaky sex scene is a suprise for a war film.

Jude Law stars as Visilli Zaitzev, the hero of the soviet union, an acclaimed sniper during WWII. He is found out by an other officer(Finnes)who moonlights as a propaganda journalist. But when the Germans get a hold of the Propaganda Newspaper, they send Koenig (Harris) who is determined to kill Zaitzev. Rachel Weisz plays the female sniper, who starts off as a translator of german radio transmissions. but through a not well scripted love triangle, we know who she really loves. Harris does one of his best performances, showing off a determined German sniper. With some "Saving Private Ryan" War scenes from the Soviet point of view, this movie really shows how bad it really was.

10/10 Great story, a badly scripted love triangle. Great acting by Harris, Law, Finnes, Weisz and Hoskins. 100%100% stay a bit for the ending credits (a bit long.) 1
