Eyes Wide Shut is a stunning final masterpiece of Stanley Kubrick.

No one has the ability to film a movie like Stanley Kubrick, this movie is awesome.

This movie about marital problems or trying not to have them is the final installment of Director Stanley Kubrick(Shining,Dr. Stangelove, Clockwork Orange, to name a few) it stars actual ex-couple Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman as two loving spouses. Tom plays Dr. Bill Hartford while Nicole is his art collector(museum worker?)wife Alice, They live in a fancy apartment house with a maid. Bill and Alice have a daughter Helena in the film, who really doesn't appear very much in the film. During a drug induced scene Alice talks to her husband about why she saw him with two women at a party they went to. Bill tells her that he wasn't. Bill gets a call from the wife of a patient of his has died. Bill comes over and makes the wife feel better, but soon Bill is spending time away from Alice meeting his friend Nick Nightingale who tells him of this gig he is going to. Bill wants to go. Nick tells him he has to be in costume. So Bill meets up with the owner of a costume shop and his daughter (Leelee Sobieski "Joan of Arc") after getting his costume he goes to the gig at a mansion using the code word "Fidelio" he finds out it is more than anyone can handle and he gets paranoid. Can he get ok will he tell his wife of his adventure or...

10/10 excellent storytelling and characters. Long detailed scenes don't get tiring. (Kubrick is known for long scenes) excellent camera work.

100/100 Kubrick is the king of filmmaking he can use the backgrounds and foregrounds to make a film as artsy as he can.

Rated R for Sex Nudity, profanity and drug use was considered an NC-17 film but through invisible or hard to notice censoring it is an R rating. ****/***** 1
