One of the best pictures of 2001.

Is he or isn't he?

K-PAX is another feel good sci-fi psychological drama, but with the exceptional acting of both Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges and the music by Ed Shearmur. The movie starts out with the mysterious entrance of prot (Spacey) at union station in New York, he is sent to the Psychiatric Institute of Manhattan, where he meets Dr. Mark Powell (Bridges) who thinks prot isn't from the planet K-PAX. Other people in the institute think he is crazy for thinking prot is not alien since several tests prove otherwise. We see prot eat a banana with it peel still on and see him eat lots of vegetables and fruits. We see his journey on Earth with wonderment because their are lots of hints that he is alien. But can Dr. Mark finally see the truth.

This is clearly one of the best pictures of 2001, because of not only the great acting styles of Kevin Spacey as a realistic alien (Banana scene) and Jeff bridges (in his analysis and experience in doing roles with good dialogue) and the music, is the camera work. We see the camera in several different shots filming moving objects from paperweights including one that is a prism and one that has a galaxy like look, to the picnic scene with Powell's daughter on a swing while feet and shadow of prot walk by, and other really cool shot scenes.

This is not to be missed.

10/10 Exceptionally good acting by Spacey and Bridges. 100%/100% for the amazing camera work in several scenes and the musical score. 1
