An interesting movie with an exceptionally good acting job by James Gandolfini.

A Cursed gun, a bumbling man hired by mob, his therapy loving girlfriend and a mobster with a secret. what comes out of this is a very simple movie, with a very simple (predictable) ending.

Too much of this movie is given away in pictures on the official website on Amazon.com.

This is a Julia Roberts as a crazy version of herself movie, She was ok, but seemed more amatuer than professional in this movie, any movie actress could fit this character's shoes. She smiles abit to much in this film, with her famous smile. Brad Pitt actually plays a bumbling character for a change and actually succedes in making us laugh. The real charm to this movie is James Gandolfini as a mobster with a secret.. he's gay. which brings some of the best character acting I have seen in motion pictures. This movie is a blend of three or more genre's of movies, they are comedy, action, western and sexual inuendo.

Pitt plays Jerry (first name only) a hired man for the mob to find a mexican gun "the Mexican" that has a curse and three seperate stories about it. His girlfriend, a therapy-crazed woman named Samantha, wants him to come with her to Las Vegas. If Jerry doesn't do the mob's business he's dead. so he goes with the mob, Samantha hates Jerry's "blame-shifting" (one of the funny lines in the film.) So Jerry's travelling to Mexico by airplane and gets to the car rental place. He goes for a mexican car "el Camaro" instead of a Chrysler to find the gun. while Samantha goes to Las Vegas, she gets met up by a well dressed african american man ( I wish there were more of these guys in movies, they look so cool.) Who is about to kidnap samantha in the women's bathroom (how awkward is that?) but gets shot by "Leroy" (Gandolfini) Samantha and Leroy get to talk about relationship issues during the film. Meanwhile, Jerry is lost with out his car in Mexico and asks some Mexican's if he could ride in their truck using the lingo "Need to take a ride-o in your el-truck-o to the next town-o" Jerry's spanish is bad. Is the gun cursed? Can Jerry figure out the true story of the gun. Can Samantha help Leroy's love life. well if it was better scripted and was more screen time between Pitt and Roberts this movie would be even more successful. Bravo to Gandolfini.

Excellent story (of what there is), good acting by Gandofini and Pitt, Roberts should brush up on her acting, make a more professional then amateurish try at the character.

5/10. 99%/100% good camera work in Mexico and in Las Vegas. 1
