The sequel to the smash hit "The Mummy" is just as good as the original.

"The Rock" does ok for this film, Don't quit your day job, Dwayne.

What "The Mummy" brought occult back into films is what "Returns" does for reincarnation.

Rick and his bumbling Librarian are back this time 10 years after the first movies events, this time they are married and have a son who has a bit of both of them in him. They go on a journey to find the Scorpion King's braclet, this after we see one of the best Prologue stories since "The Mummy's" first one. What they don't know is that other people want the braclet so they can have Imohotep kill the Scorpion King. What ends up is what the Title lacks, The mummy's return is only one part of the story, and is more of an appearance then the Scorpion King who takes most of the credit for the film, The prologue is about the Scorpion kings rise into power with the Egyptian God Anubis. Even the title of the film comes at the very end of the movie. The reincarnation bit of the story explains what happend in the first movies Prologue in a different way. a good way to link both movies besides resurecting the mummy.

The special effects in this movie are more in this movie then "The Mummy" there is a water version of the mummy's face this time, an oasis growing out of the sand, and crowd enhanced special effects during fighting sequences.

10/10 Good movie with a good script (although limited) great acting, special effects and bringing reincarnation back into horror-action films. 100%.100% some special effects you can notice but some of the best are the crowd of soldiers fighting in the fighting sequences.

Watch out for the Natives!

a computer version of "The rock" is done very well, you have to take a second look to notice his face is done in the computer. 1
