To change the world, one boy must find a way to pay it forward.

Haley Joel Osment, the cute child star from "Sixth Sense" comes to this film with the same wonder he had in the Bruce Willis hit. This movie cries Oscar!, so don't keep your hopes up if this movie gets nominated for Oscars, because it probably will. The story is good, with a screenplay that could confuse some people, and an ending people could love or hate. I personally loved this film, for its use of random acts of kindness, and dealing with Abuse. Helen Hunt comes to another film one of Five new films for her ("Cast Away" with Hanks, "Dr. T. and the Women", with Gere, "What Women Want" with Gibson. and one other.) this one is another of her great performances up there with her role in "As Good as it Gets" she can truely play characters great. Kevin Spacey, the guy who all men look up to because of his frank depiction of a married suburbanite in "American Beauty" comes to this movie with tips from that film, talk with gusto and strength.

To pay it forward, Trevor (Osment) tells his class he is going to give three people favors that they can't do themselves, and they have to do that to three other people and so on. From the begining of the film you can see that his idea worked, this is called reverse storytelling or dual storytelling, and this hasn't been done in films in the way its done here. Jay Mohr is the reporter who gets a free Jaguar after his car is smashed. He works backwards to find the source of the good deeds, while we see the begining of the process. There is a scene where both storylines meet and its at one second in the film, if you blink you'll miss it. and then the movie is on to one storyline. Trevor tries to start his pay it forward scheme with an homeless drug addict, he tries helping out his mother and his teacher, and finally his friend. which brings up the ending. people will love it and people will hate it, but it really is there to show how much people care about other people who help out.

10/10 for good acting by Hunt, Osment and Spacey. Storyline(s). Read Book. 100%/100% great sets and buildings used. 1
