What sequels do to hit films is make the originals look much better.

Chris Tucker talks more in this movie than the original.

The story leaves where the first "Rush Hour" left off, Inspector Lee (Chan) and Detective Carter (Tucker) are in Hong Kong for what Carter thinks is a vacation after he finds out that Lee is on duty, Carter starts blaming Lee for everything that goes wrong (even somethings Carter has done) which leads to this movies ultimate problem, racially derogatory comments from Carter. I wouldn't mind a few but there was a whole lot of them. and mostly aimed at chinese people. The fight scenes involving Carter look fantastic but with Jackie Chan's age he is not doing very many death-defying stunts. Lee and Carter find out that Lee's father's partner (Lone) turned bad guy is trying to collect real money while sending out hard to recognize counterfeit bills. They meet up with Hu Li (Li Hu) Played by "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" star Zhang Ziyi (Ziyi Zhang) who is the bad guys devoted Henchwoman. Even Zhang Ziyi can't save this film, except for her beautiful face. What is left of this movie that I can tell you is that there are outtakes at the end. 8/10 for great story, interesting characters but the Racial dialogue made it lose 2 pts. 100%/100% fight scenes look great. including using objects. 1
