A Shocking look at drug trafficking from the director of "Erin Brockovich", "The Limey" and "Out of Sight".

Pure thrills and chills in this entertaining film of the Drug War in the United States.

The movie is actually three stories, a judge dealing with his new job as drug czar and his heroin addicted daughter, two Mexican cops in Tijuana dealing with drug cartels, and the pregnant wife of a man dealing with the trafficking of drugs from Mexico to the United States who goes to trial. The stories intertwine as we find how they are connected which is plainly drugs and enforcement of the traffickers. Some of the shocking scenes show teenagers getting high, mostly inhaling and one getting high intraveinously. One scene involves a teenager overdosed and is sent to the hospital sidewalk outside the door. and one scene of one high teenage girl kissing a teenage boy and a scene with a high teenage girl having sex, mostly under the influence of heroin. This is definately a hard "R" rating. Good performances from Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luiz Guzman, Don Cheadle, Amy Irving and Benicio Del Turo.

9/10 Good story and cast, they could have cut the Heroin scenes abit shorter too much shock factor. I hope the teens were acting high not really on the stuff. 100%.100% Interesting use of different film, Mexico scenes are in Sepia, Michael Douglas scenes Blue, and Zeta-Jones Regular color. Excellent handheld camera work by Soderbergh as pseudonym Peter Andrews. 1
