Your Comments About This Page and Shannon Miller

This page is for YOU. Please E-mail me your comments about this page and Shannon Miller. Hopefully, it will spur interesting conversations about our favorite gymnast, SHANNON MILLER! This will also let me know what you think about my page in more words than the guestbook will allow.

Here's The e-mail that I gave me the idea that I should start a feedback page.......

Dear Sam:
I like your webpage! I thought the comment that you made on Shannon being a humanitarian was nice. You might want to expand on that a little. I think Shannon is a terrific person. She really cares about others. I know she's very busy, but she's never too busy to answer requests. I got a couple of nice autographed pictures from her. Her charitable work is also worth mentioning, of course. There are so many people (including me) who appreciate her for her gymnastic abilities. I think, though, especially at this time of year, that Shannon Miller, the person, the humanitarian(as you say),should be appreciated just as much,if not more.
Have a nice holiday!
Sincerly, Casey Kelly

I'm just like you. Even though I don't take gymnastics, I really love the sport. Ever since the first time I saw Shannon compete , she became my favorite gymnast. She has sent me autographs and pictures, but I really want to be able to meet
her sometime. Keep up the updates on the page because if there are other Shannon Miller fans out there, and I know there is, they'll want to find out as much about her as they possibly can.

Another Shannon Miller Fan,
Alicia Garcia

Shannon Miller is definately and inspiration and hero of mine. She amazing to see on tv and even more incredible in person. I cant believe a 26 year old can get nervous standing 3 feet from a 20 year old. Being so close to her was a moment I will never forget. I hope one day I can go meet her in person and find out about the real Shannon, not just what is portrayed on TV.
Here's to hoping!!

Dear Samantha:
I just wanted to congratulate you on your Shannon Miller page and how far it has come. Shannon would be proud to know that she has such dedicated fans that would work as hard as you do on a webpage. Shannon herself is a wonderful gymnast, and even if she does not go to Sydney, I will look foward to seeing her in various professional events. She certainly left her mark on the sport, and will always be remembered as one of then best American gymnasts ever.

Great page! Shannon deserves this and so much more - glad to know she is part of real world, too - but it is just watching her from early days in her career to last Olympics - something about her, that was talent, plus HARD, HARD, HARD WORK, GOOD COACHING, STRONG NATURE, AND ALL THAT IS BEST IN ANY ATHLETE. Wish there were more Shannons, lurking around gyms everywhere in USA!!! She made me proud to be an American!! She just does not strike a false note. Do not want to know any sad stories about her - not that I wouldn't care. But, after listening to all the tragedies involved with current figure skaters, relieved to just be allowed to watch a competition and check out the best competitors, and check out the judging, too. Many skate fans are appalled by monstrous judging this year. Unfortunately, this is a big problem in gymnastics, too. Just ask Bela Karolyi - Dominique Moceanu and others, would never have had him for a coach, if judging at Moscow Olympics (which we did not attend) had not been so obvious and successful for Russians. They MUST be best and win - and if don't then, boys, help 'em out. Wish all who love gymnastics would get over there on skating pages, and tell those ding-a-lings, how Shannon had to be better than best, if she hoped to win gold.............which she did. Grateful for any news about her future. Please, add me to your list - if you have one!

Joanie

I think I'm just in the same situation as u do. I'm not involve in gymnastics, but I love watching Shannon Miller and she's my favorite of all-time. She's been like that to me since I was only 9 yrs. old. I'm already 15. I also got a page as a tribute for her. You got a nice page of hers. THANKS SO MUCH FOR BEING SUCH A BIG OF SHANNON MILLER.

-Kristine

Hey Sam What's goin on? I realy appreciate yalls web page thing. Your right Shannon rules! I have been a Shannon Miller fan almost my entire life. In case your interested a have a few little stories about how shannon has changed my life. When I was a little kid my grandpa was dying of cancer, during the last few months of his life we watched the olympics in Barcelona together. He thought Shannon was just the greatest thing in the world and so did I. We cheered for her together and it was his last few smiles and happy times. He died a few months later. I have always been grateful to Shannon for giving me my last good memories with my grandpa. first of all I had better tell you that I am hiper active, attention deficit and dyslexic, which made it almost impossiple for me to learn how to read. My elementry teachers told my parents that I would never master more than a few simple words. When I started the fifth grade my mom got me all the reading material she could find on Shannon Miller. Through her inspiration and a lot of study I was reading full length novels within the year. Today I am a freshmen with a 4.0 gpa and a national bible quizing champion. I even read Gone with the Wind last yea. If I ever get an oppertunity to meet Shannon I will just have to tell her thank you.
thanks for your time,
Rannon
P.S. It's nice to know that my story can be shared. Heros rise and fall, come and go, are remembered and are forgotten. But I promise that for the rest of my life I wiil be grateful to shannon miller and every time i hear her name i will think back to my childhood .............and smile.
