- the Horror Show (1989), was originally intended as House 3. House 2 having done as well, if not better that the original overseas, spurred the demand for another follow up. But, at the point the film was to be released domestically, New World had gone under. The picture domestically was re-named, and distributed through UA. All for the better, considering it was closer to a slasher film, then the preceeding pictures.
- House/House 2 scribe Ethan Wiley, considered writing a second sequel to the House series that would take place in a high rise housing complex.
