Interestinly enough,Anna Karenina (1935) was Garbo's second film version of the classic Tolstoy novel. She starred in a silent version, Love (1927), with John Gilbert. This one is a classic Garbo veicle, with Fredric March and Basil Rathbone giving fine supporting performances.
