Around the country, troops are being deployed

As peace talks are now heating to a boil
The situation is no longer negotiable
The Middle East now reproachable

A war of words intensifies
Who’s being truthful?
Who’s telling lies?

Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines
True patriots, human fighting machines
Pawns in corporate preservation of oil
May possibly die on foreign soil
Sacrificial lambs for corporate greed
No price put on the blood they will bleed

Families left behind watch and listen in frustration
While each prays for their loved one’s salvation
