I had a dream again
As I did before
So vivid, it seemed real
Of something unknown
holding me down against my will

I was frozen with fear
The thumping of my heart
I could hear loud and clear
I tried to scream, but to no avail
My voice faltering and then it failed

My eyelids were shut tight
I strained to open them
so I could see the light
I was struggling so hard just to breathe
A silent cry in my mind
"someone help me please!"

The unknown force
was trying to pull my soul from me
And I was fighting it
fighting it so desperately!

I let out a curdling scream
I awoke suddenly and
I realized it was only a dream
