I found this old poem that I had written when I was in high school. Oh those teenaged years!!

~ I CAN'T FORGET ~

In time of loneliness
I think of you
Once you brought me happiness
Now you've left me blue
You're no longer here
and I've not much to do
Except to sit back once in a while
And think of you

How long ago was it
that you said your love was true?
And, oh, how foolish I had been
to believe you

You took me in your arms
whispered sweet words in my ears
Just to think of that
brings me to tears

I remember so clearly your kisses
so passionate, tender
You showed me love I'd never experienced before
And I let my heart surrender

I should have known it was too good to last
It's all over now
Just part of the past

But yet, somehow, I can't forget
our once glorious romance
I wish we could start over again
I'd give you another chance

If you should discover that you still love me
As I love you dear
We could start anew
with nothing to fear
