MY EXPECTATIONS

Major disappointment!
My expectations were too high
All I can do is sit back
And heave a heavy sigh

I must lower my expectations
a pedestal or two
It might make things easier
to follow through

I mustn't be in a hurry
to get to the top
Lest I make a big mistake
and become a major flop!

I guess I'll take it very slow
Enjoy each experience as I go

My expectations of everyone
I must learn to ease
I realize they're all working
just as hard to please

My life I'm going to have to simplify
I honestly mean it
I will really try!
