THIS QUIET FACADE

This quiet façade
seemingly mundane
waiting to explode
turbulent as a hurricane
The wild spirit hidden inside
this hard, cold shell of mine
for so long denied
too long kept in line
Then you come along
with your manner so idle
Unable to harness all my energy
my spirit now unbridled
Reckless and unrestrained
Released at last
From self-imposed chains
I warn you I may suffocate you
With passion ablaze like fire
You alone can reach in depth
And incite all my desires
