Other News - Jaap Stam has been sold to Lazio for 19 million pounds and United have bought former French international Laurent Blanc as a temporary replacement. Ruud Van Nistelrooy has re-injured the knee that caused his problems when he was at PSV, he will undergo surgery. This summer, United have also signed Juan Sebastian Veron from Lazio for 26 million pounds and Roy Carrol from Wigan as Barthez's understudy.
