It's about 200 years after Ellan Ripley (Siourney Weaver) died. General Perez (Dan Hedaya) plans to recreate and domesticate the extinct race of Aliens. To do this he needs Ripley, or rather her blood which also contains Alien DNA. Perez succeeds but needs human hosts to grow the new race. Enter Elgyn (Michael Wincott) and his crew of misfits; Call (Winona Rider), Johner (Ron Perlman), and Christie (Gary Dourdan) to name a few. They unknowingly deliver the hosts to Perez's ship. Well anyone with a clue knows that when there are Aliens around it's only a matter of time before they start killing everyone in sight. Elgyn's crew soon teams up with the not entirely human Ripley to hunt down the new breed of Aliens. This movie could have been called Aliens: Greatest Hits, as it borrowed heavily from the previous 3 films. It had the horror elements of the first and third, and the action and comedy of the second. The sets were lavishly designed and the Aliens looked better than ever, they can swim now too. Weaver and Rider both do well as the Ripley hybrid and as the enigmatic Call respectively. Eventhough this was not a completely new look at the Aliens it was entertaining and should serve as a good ending to a great series, maybe.
