What happened to Batman? What became of the Dark Knight, the brooding and enigmatic man who protected Gotham from the bad guys? He's been replaced by some vapid guy who smirks and throws out moronic one-liners. When will this travesty end? Doesn't anyone in Hollywood know who Batman is? Personally I'll take the comic book Bat any day over this recent serving of crap. Schwarzenegger, Mr. Freeze, was absolutely awful, his performance has to rank among the worst of all time. If there is a well know saying about cold not used by Freeze I'd be suprised. Arnold was constantly spouting lines like "The ice man cometh" and the one about revenge being a dish best served cold, it was horrible. Clooney, as mentioned previously, smirked a lot and was thoroughly unlikable. O'Donnell, Robin, was worse, he spent the majority of the movie whining and bitching about not being appreciated. Bane was completly unfaithful to the comic and a total waste of time. Much the same can be said of Batgirl, Silverstone, although not to the same degree as Bane. I guess they were not selling enough action figures to the female population and figured Batgirl was the solution. Finally we get to the only good performance, that of Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy. Not only did she look great but she acted great too. Thurman is the solitary reason this movie did not get a 12 BEER rating. It looks like they spent $60 million on scenery and .60 cents on a story. The credit for this worthless script goes to Akiva Goldsman, who should be banned from Hollywood for life as should Schumacher the director of this fiasco. Take your 7+ dollars and go buy some Batman comics, you'll enjoy them a lot more than this movie.
