I'll admit I was looking foward to seeing this movie for quite some time. Being a fan of the X-files and Duchovny, this looked like a potentially great movie. I could not have been more wrong. This is a poorly done flick. Eugene Sands (David Duchovny)was a doctor but lost his license to pratice. A patient died during an operation while he was high on drugs. Unemployed but still an addict he finds himself in a seedy bar buying drugs when some guy gets shot. Eugene takes action and saves the man's life. Raymond Blossom (Timothy Hutton) wants to thank Eugene for saving the life of his guy. Sands soon becomes the doctor to the crime world. He also take son the task of saving Raymond's grilfriend Claire (Angelina Jolie). Soon the FBI gets involved and the movie keeps getting worse. Hutton was absolutely horrible as the nutball ring leader. Duchovny seemed to sleep walk through the movie. The only thing more lacking than character development was a plot. The movie moved haphazardly from one scene to the next, without direction or purpose. It makes you wonder what they were thinking when making this film. Avoid this one.
