Leta (Melissa DeSousa) is fresh out of film school and lands a job in the music business working for the contemptuous Bleau (Downtown Julie Brown). Bleau informs her that she is to take a bunch of supposed rising stars to Florida on a bus. Once in Florida they are to hook up with Freddy B (Luther Campbell), a music big-wig. Along for the trip is Poppa (Malik Yoba), who's sent to help the kids and Leta. Poppa's little brother Geronimo (Fredro Star) just happens to steal a lot a cash from some robbers who procede to chase the bus in an effort to get their cash back.
Ride is a seemingly endless trip to nowhere. The dilapidated bus is filled with cliched and shallow characters. It's poorly acted and writen, although there is a clear destination there is no point to this movie. The only moments of comedy come from Roscoe (John Witherspoon) and Bo (Cedric The Entertainer), the bus drivers. With the myriad of songs thoughout, the movie is most likely just a excuse to release a soundtrack. Ride is a movie devoid of point or purpose.
