Patrick Ross (Justin Lazard) is the first man on Mars, or is he. The soil samples taken from the planet surface are contaminated with alien DNA. The very same type of DNA as used in the origional movie. Speaking of the origional alien DNA, a new alien-human hybrid, Eve (Natasha Henstridge), was created under the surervision of Dr. Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger). They made Eve in order to study her in case we ever run across the aliens again. Ross and his crew return to Earth and he soon starts mating at an alarming rate and with rather appalling results. Eve soon senses Ross and can see what he sees. Press Lennox (Michael Madsen) is called in to help capture Ross with the aid of Dennis Gamble (Mykelti Williamson). Ross can also feel Eve's presence and the two of them desperately want to mate, which would result in a supposedly unstoppable alien.
Species II is one crappy movie. Not one aspect of it has any redeeming qualities, not even the gratuitous sex and violence help. The science in this supposed Sci-Fi flick is laughable. The special effects look like they were made by a 6 year old. The performances given are so bad you can hardly call it acting. Despite the innumerable holes in the plot the ending is apparent from the onset. The resolution to the final conflict is so faulty that it almost makes the rest of the movie seem good, well not really but it sure does suck. Species II has to rank among the top of the all time worst movies. Avoid this one at all costs, it is a utter waste of time.
