Wallace Ritchie (Bill Murray) is a goofy guy who works at a Blockbuster. On his birthday he travels to see his brother James (Peter Gallagher) in the UK. Of course this is the same night that James is hosting an important business diner. In order to get rid of Wallace for the night James buys him a night in a live action theatre production where the participants take a active role. Mistaking a real phone call for one from the theatre group Wallace assumes the role of Spencer a true life hitman. His target is to be Lori (Joanne Whalley) who is blackmailing a high ranking British official. As the movie progresses Wallace delves deeper into the world of international espionage all the while thinking it's just a play. TMWKTL is damn funny as is Murray who does a great job.
