Anybody who remembers anything from 8th grade Geology class will see the gaint holes in this movie. I have a buddy who works at the USGS and someone from the movie called and asked what the chances of the tar pits erupting were and was told absolutly zero. To which the movie guy said oh well too late now the movie is done. The special effects were decent but the second half was way over done. I was rooting for Tommy Lee Jones to die along with the rest of L.A.
