BW JAPAN

Beast Wars certainly is popular in Japan with a new cel-animation cartoon coming out, with toys too! These are some images I scanned in from the "TV Magazine", a Japanese mag for kids! Some of the images are quite big and may therefore take a while to load. While I get more pics, please enjoy these! Note: if you wish to use any of these pictures, please e-mail me first. Thanx!

Note: These pictures were scanned from the TV Magazine
November Issue
In this issue they focus on the introduction of the Takotank, Gigastorm and two of the four Cyborg Beasts, Mach Speed and Hell Scream!

On the inside cover is the toy pic of the Takotank , Gigastorm (Trypticon repaint, without the light-up cannon and tank parts) and Magnaboss. Click HERE to view it.

They give 18 more character cards in this issue, of the Seacons, Magnaboss the Takotank and the new baddies. I scanned in only the new guys. I think the blue squid's name is Ikad, I'm not too sure.

Gigastorm
HellScream
Mach Speed
Takotank and Ikad

Then we have a very nice starting page of the BW2 section. The nicest one so far, if I don't say so myself. CLick HERE to see it.

First is a big picture of the tank. Click HERE.
Then is a pic of his weapons and bike and a pic of Lioconvoy shaking Ikad's hand with Scuba in the back. Click HERE.

Next are the bad guys. First comes a bigger pic of Gigastrom and his abilities. Click HERE to see. As mentioned earlier, Gigastorm is Megastorm rebuilt.
Then comes a bigger picture of Hellscream and Machspeed. Click HERE to see it. I also enlarged the beast modes of Mach Speed and HellScream. As I had mentioned that time, Mach Speed is BB, and HellSream is Starscream. My guess is Dirge and Thrust becom DirgeGun and Thrustor respetively.

Here's a pic of Galvatron and his new lackeys. It's just their faces. Click HERE.

Just a two months from the movie, this issue shows all the characters appearing in the BW Season 2 section. Click HERE to see it.

More on boxed toys. There is a set of nice SD BW rubber figures, which comes in two sets. Click here to see. And a second (or at least I think it's the second) set of BW2 rubber figures with Magnaboss, Tripredacus and God Neptune. Click HERE to see it.

And finally is a BW2 hand-held game! Click HERE to see it.

October Issue

This issue has a lot of info on BW2, including their fastest, strongest characters etc, and a table of "relationships" between the characters and the new combiner, Magnaboss!!

Here is a nice pic of Lioconvoy and LioJunior (Prowl - Magnaboss)! Click here to view it!

Starting out with the Magnaboss components, is Skywarp (Silverbolt). Click here to view a pic of him. He looks kinda female...

Next is Liojunior, repaint of Prowl. Click here to view his picture.

Then we move on to Santon (which means Three tons. Whee.), repaint of Ironhide. Click here to view a pic.

Okay, I goofed up and forgot to scan Magnaboss in. Check the BonBon section for a much nicer picture of him.

This is another advertisement for the movie, which apparently will be shown (to my understanding) in December. Click HERE to see it!

And here's a Love-hate table between the Cybertrons and Destrons. Click HERE to see it.

Finally, on the back of the book is the toy advert for Magnaboss. Click HERE to see it!

JAPAN GETS TRANSMETALS - Yes, they will be getting TMs soon!! Click here to see a advertisement! It's spread across two pages, so it has got be real important!

Also, in this issue, they give a "sticker" book. the stickers are inside the book, also. Click Here to view a few of them. In the book, each BW2 character has it's own page, with squares where you can cut out the stickers, and gum them down. There are a total of 64 stickers given, which fills up the book.

Boxed toys! Click Here to view a pic of transforming BW2 box toy figure! And Here to see another pic of the rubber figures! Yes, I know, the pics are rather small...

August Issue
In this issue punch outs of the 12 main BW2 characters are given, much like the BW ones given in a much earlier issue. Click here to view a scan!

Introducing the Tripredacus!! Below are some scans of pictures of the team. I only know the Japanese name of Cicadacon, since it's only two letters...
DJ (Cicadacon)
Ramhorn
Sea Clamp
Tripredacus

Personally, I think the colors for the individual components are nice, but the mix of colors which Tripredacus is made of, are well, tacky.

In this picture, Tripredacus teams up with Lioconvoy to battle the Destrons!! Click here to view the battle scene!

And here is a picture of...the BW2 Seacons!!! The picture is really colored but I think roughly the colors are rather tacky too. Anyhow, click here to view them!

Here is a more detailed picture of another set of box toys! These are four a set of four figures, namely (from L to R) Megastorm, Galvatron, Lioconvoy and Apache. Click here to view the box and the four figures.

This is the advertisement at the back of the book for Tripredacus. Click here to see it.

Here's a bigger pic of the four Autorollers! Guess they're stockier then that pic from the May issue... Click here! Note: Refer to the second pic under the May issue to see the "skinny" version of the Autorollers.

Hey, hey! Here's Transquito and Retrax, BW 2 style! Click here to view the picture! Others in the group are Jetstorm, Manterror, Drillbit and Powerpinch! My guess is that they are the Insect group which have been mentioned. I'll be scanning in pictures of the rest soon.
