RECALL... 1992 : CATWOMAN REJECT
Original casted catwoman for Batman Returns is Annette Benning. She won over Cher for it but lost the role after realising her pregnancy (Warren Beatty).
Sean Young came fully dressed in the leather spandex to impress director Tim Burton but backfired. Tim was not at all impressed and annoyed on the contrary, sending her off the studio.
How's that for hollywood shame.
RECALL... 1997 : CON-AIR The hot 97 hit featuring tonnes of explosives, plane crash and Vegas fire stuns is
air-con inverted.
RECALL... 1980s & 1990s : HOLLYWOOD BLONDE BRAINS RECALL... 1980s & 1990s : HOLLYWOOD BLONDE BRAINS
RECALL... 1981 : INDIANA SELLECK Should've been Indy Selleck (or Tom Jones) but Tom Selleck (3 Men and a Baby) was not released from his TV project Magnum P.I.
Harrison Ford benefitted from the multi-million dollar franchise Indiana Jones series instead.
RECALL... 1991 : WHO REFUSED THE BASIC INSTINCT ROLE? Sharon Stone became a star by uncrossing her legs. Michelle Pfeiffer (Catwoman), Geena Davis (A League Of Their Own) and Kim Basinger (LA Confidential)
refused the role for it's too 'steaming'. Who would've thought?
DREAMWORK'S NEW ANIMATED FEATURE : THE PRINCE OF EGYPT Word is out that the theme song for Dreamwork's new cartoon, The Prince Of
Egypt, will be produced by Kenny "babyface" Edmund and it will feature
the collaboration of Pop's biggest names... TITANIC SEQUEL Yes, there's going to be one to the soundtrack, not the picture. Set to be released in August, this sequel to its first which sold over 10 million copies will include more of the all so popular tunes from the Box-office phenomenon. Despite's the OST's amazing sales, it is still shy from the highest selling soundtrack to date - The Bodyguard. Its box-office gross is still rolling in, standing at US 590 million and ranked 13 as of July 17. There is, however, rumoured to be a film sequel. The spoof, starring Baywatch star David Hasselhoff and
Priscilla Presley, is titled 'Titanic : The One That Missed The Iceberg'.
THE ASTEROID BEAT THE COMET ... In terms of box-office sales at least. Armageddon took merely 3 weeks to gross about the same amount
Deep Impact accumulated for 7 odd weeks since her release. The former which is The event movie of the year
is doing pretty well considering the release of a similarly themed flick just 2 months back. Its
soundtrack's doing well too, staying up on the Billboard 200 Chart.
HOLLYWOOD'S HOTTEST GIRL Julia Roberts is surely hot on demand after her resurrection a year ago. Her film offers and projects are so plentiful and yet she still manages to take on the role of a co-producer along side Meg Ryan in their film 'The Women'. This movie stars 3 of my favourite actresses, including Marisa Tomei (Untamed Heart). Her other projects include 'The Notting Hill Project' with Hugh Grant and the re-teaming of the Pretty
Women Crew - Richard Gere, Julia and Garry Marshall (director) - in 'The Runaway Bride'.
LOSER'S EXCUSE Julia Roberts' co-star in the romantic comedy 'The Nottinghill Project' Hugh Grant doesn't give a hoot about acting. 'The question is, do I care about acting? I don't really. I lost interest 12 years ago,
and it's been a question of keeping the corpse alive all this time.' Well, that explains the
acting in Extreme Measures.
CENSORING TITANIC? OVER MY DEAD BODY 'It's like being a museum curator and taking a Picasso painting of a nude and painting
a bathing suit over it and trying to pass it off as a Picasso.' American film-maker John
Frankenheimer commenting on a video store in Utah, US on charging a fee to censor Titanic.
COMPROMISING TASKS "I can do that.' I noticed that a lot of people said that in Hollywood."
TV STARS' RAMBLING David Duchovny (The X-Files)- 'I was a transvestite on Twin Peaks. I was such an ugly woman.' Jerry Seinfeld (Seinfeld)- 'My mother kept an extra roll of toilet paper that had a little knit hat with a pompom, the dog had a sweater, and the couch had little fabric toupees. I never felt the nedd to try drugs. My reality was already altered.' Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld)- 'My head is flat and wide, and I wouldn't look that strange with little antennae.' Singer-actress Brandy (Moeisha)- 'I'm so happy that I didn't die in this movie (I Still Know What You Did Last Summer)... You don't see Afro-Americans living in these movies. So I made history.'
Roma Downey (Touched By An Angel)- 'She(her daughter) gets bored after Della (Reese) sings the opening number. I think we have to get Big Bird as one of the guest stars.'
BOOBY DISTRESS CALL "I'd like Santa to get me a breast reduction... ha ha."
