Rupert Everett Hilarious and crackling as our favourite romantic comedy actress reclaims her throne with a perky script and a crowd-drawing movie about lost loves and hope. 55. Waterworld Kevin Costner Set in a post-apocalyptic world where our lands are flooded, this action adventure is different from any other. 56. Twister Bill Paxton. Helen Hunt Want to see an eye of a twister? This effects-filled film is a visual feast for fans of the beautiful but threatening natural phenomenon. 57. Free Willy Jason James Richter The whale-n-boy movie is not like any other kid-n-pet movie. Something else indescribable. 58. Broken Arrow John Travolta. Christian Slater Travolta in his first evil role since his comeback in the 90s. The movie about nuclear bomnbs is a blast. 59. Ransom Mel Gibson. Rene Russo. Gary Sinise This scary story about a couple faced with a kidnapped son is intensed and unpredictable. Best of all, the implications are scary. Mel and Rene are fantastic. 60. Aliens Sigourney Weaver Our favourtie extra-terrestial returns in a sequel better than the original with more agility and hostility. 61. Se7en Brad Pitt. Morgan Freeman. Gwyneth Paltrow This thriller whom some call horror is dark, disturbing and simply intelligent and well directed. 62. The Devil's Advocate Keanu Reeves. Charlize Theron. Al Pacino Al is the devil and boy is he convincing. This spooky urban tale is bleak and the limited effects are nevertheless scary. 63. The Man Without A Face Mel Gibson Mel scores yet again as an isolated disfigured man who shares a special bond with a boy in town. If a relationship can be called beautiful, this has to be it. 64. Die Hard 2 Bruce Willis Bruce is at his best as a cop saving the world. The thing that separates the cliche action film from this one? This movie is like the best of all B-rate ones. 65. Dead Calm Sam Neill. Nicole Kidman A couple and a psycho on board a yacht alone out in the ocean... things get really exciting - as much as you can expect. 66. Sister Act Whoopi Goldberg Whoopi best describes this movie about a crime witness in an nunnery undercover. Undoubtedly one of her finest and most unforgettable roles ever. 67. Scent of A Woman Al Pacino. Chris O'Donnell A charming film about a blind man and his sitter/escort/helper that anyone can appreciate. 68. Deep Impact Tea Leoni. Elijah Wood. Leelee Sobieski Seeing earth wiped-out is enough reason to enjoy this film but the realism and human elements that separates it from Armageddon puts Impact on this list. 69. Air Force One Harrison Ford Plane hijack is common but one on Air Force One is a must watch. Besides, the hero is none other than Ford. 70. The Blair Witch Project Heather Donahue. Michael C. Williams. Joshua Leonard The filming is so real but it makes you giddy and sick. However even without special effects and shots of any creatures, the film is grossly scary to the max. The images that scare are excellent but they are not the only elements which achieve it. 71. Mad Max 2 Mel Gibson Yeah. Another post-apocalyptic film about dust, dirty and violence. 72. Little Women Susan Sarandon. Winona Ryder. Claire Danes This period piece is cosy and warm, dramatic and enjoyable. 73. Final Analysis Richard Gere. Kim Basinger. Uma Thurman Psychological thriller with a twist of dark romance and warped affairs. 74. Die Hard With A Vengeance Bruce Willis. Samuel L. Jackson. Jeremy Irons Bruce is back with another fun action adventure with explosions, city action sequences and... puzzles! 75. Notting Hill Julia Roberts. Hugh Grant Julia in a British romantic comedy scores too. The lines are bitingly witty as expected and the couple far from lacklustre. 76. Frantic Harrison Ford Ford gets another excellent story line about a missing wife in France. Set in Europe, this suspense thriller is chilling. 77. The Real McCoy Kim Basinger Stunning lead in a fight to rescue her son by turning back to her old days as a highly skilled thief. Surprisingly entertaining beyond any expectations. 78. Alive Ethan Hawke Cannibalism made almost humane in this tough-to-watch film about a plane crash on a mountain miles and miles away from any civilisation in winter. 79. Rainman Tom Cruise. Dustin Hoffman Brothers coming to turns with one another in a touching tale. 80. Scream Neve Campbell. Courtney Cox So refreshingly fun and cheesy that this mother of teen-slash-horror-flicks is an A grade B-rate-films rejuvenation. 81. Groundhog Day Bill Murray. Andie Macdowell This interesting movie about a man reliving the same day over and over again is pretty cool. 82. Powder Sean Patrick Flanery. Mary Steenburgen A serious and thoughtful film that sends one thinking... and pondering. 83. Can't Hardly Wait Jennifer Love Hewitt. Ethan Embry A classic teen romantic film that is all so hip, fun and dreamy. The cutest couple and the funniest lines in a wonderfully wacky joyride. 84. One Fine Day Michelle Pfeiffer. George Clooney Something about the 2 lead's smouldering chemistry and all so mature and realistic storyline... and that great ambience and soundtrack. 85. Forever Young Mel Gibson. Elijah Wood. Jamie Lee Curtis Another of Mel's great dramatic works. 86. The Full Monty Robert Carlyle A truly hilarious piece that is the archetype of British comedy at its best. That all so groovy retro soundtrack sure helped. 87. Radio Inside William McNamara. Elisabeth Shue. Dylan Walsh Simple and slow and sweet and quiet... but a perfect piece to watch. 88. The Professional Jean Reno. Natalie Portman The odd chemistry and the European cinematic style is addictive and in a league out of the Hollywood's. 89. The Pelican Brief Julia Roberts. Denzel Washington An intelligent film with smart characters and a clever plot. Julia Roberts... wouldn't have worked without her. 90. Rounders Matt Damon. Edward Norton 2 of 90s most treasured finds star alongside in this powerful poker picture. 91. Sliding Doors Gwyneth Paltrow. Nicolas Cage John Woo's beautiful piece of action-thriller which demonstrated to Hollywood what it means for action to be considered a craft. That duo blows you away! 95. Good Will Hunting Matt Damon. Ben Affleck Low-budget touch that feels honest and anti-gloss. Just one of those feel-good movies. 97. The Matrix Keanu Reeves. Laurence Fishburne Super cool and sleek with lots of thought-provoking stuff that combines with ground-breaking special F/X to create a surrealistic experience. 98. Tremors Kevin Bacon Wow... I love such exciting cheesy flicks with monsters that chew and suck and drills. An watching all those helpless victims plot against them. 99. Ronin Robert De Niro. Jean Reno Love the European setting and style and all that cool action sequences without the typical Hollywood crudeness. 100. Ever After Drew Barrymore.
