Who is Sparks?
My name is Pat Weier, my alias is SPARKS. Where did I get this alias?
From my days in the Navy. I was a Radioman and Radiomen during that
time were nicknamed Sparks, because we wore lightening bolts on our
sleeves (and sometimes got fried by the equipment). I was in the service
towards the end of the Vietnam war.
I grew up in Las Vegas Nevada, (but was not a showgirl) And YES, people
do live in Las Vegas. I have lived all over the country (New York,
Arizona, Virginia, Alaska).. I now live in the middle of nowhere, near a
tiny town in the Texas hill country. Even though I live in Texas, I’m
not a fan of country music. Rock & roll is more my style.
I do have kids. One daughter who is now in the Navy. She is following
mom’s footsteps. She has now given me a grandson, whom I’m sure will
become a squid also (slang talk for sailors).
My favorite things to do are: martial arts, (my daughter & I received
black belts in Tukong Moosul), designing web pages (I have 3 of my own
up right now), computers, and science fiction. My favorite shows are:
Star Trek, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Dr. Who, The Highlander,Xena,
and the Ateam. My favorite actor is Dwight Schultz and Christopher
Lambert.
