A WIP, primary modeling complete. No textures. About 3 hours in.
This is all subdivisional surfaces. If you've never worked in sub-d... I pity you. The ease of polygonal, the infinetely fine curves of NURBS, the ability to harden edges and extrude surfaces- no more filets, yay!
I did end up having to change the upper collar section back into poly for certian texturing issues...
...and completed. This is about 9 hours later. ...about 7 of that is the friggin' cloth. I HATE cloth. This was my first time working with it, and given my druthers, I never shall again. Of course, Maya makes it relatively easy.
The heraldic down the middle is a set of 3 texture maps. No actual colors- just masks defining the different color regions for maximum flexability. Ditto the maximal symbol in the chest piece.
