I swear to god, EVERY 3d animator tests his finger setups this way...
Subtle organic deformations on hands, neck (Well, not that subtle around the neck,)
thighs, biceps and abs. Just the right mix of 'hard' and 'soft' makes him much
more poseable/flexable than a metalic robot should be.
