OnlineHost: Your host for tonight is AOLiveMC8 (Robert) and AOLiveMC4 (Jim).

OnlineHost: Dina Meyer's work possesses an approachable sensuality and emotional honesty unlike many actors in Hollywood today. Always ready to embrace the challenges of a new role, Meyer will soon be seen starring in Paul Verhoeven's sci-fi thriller "Starship Troopers" for TriStar Pictures. The film is scheduled for release in November. Welcome to AOL Live!

AOLiveMC8: Good evening and welcome to AOL Live, Dina Meyer!

MeyerD: Hi!

AOLiveMC8: Our first audience question this evening comes from JMbikeman:

Question: Dina, you were totally buffed and gorgeous in "Johnny Mnemonic." Did you have any training in martial arts, or were you working out during the filming of that movie?

MeyerD: No training in martial arts. I danced for 10 years. The role was a pretty physical role, so I just stayed in shape by doing whatever was asked of me at the time.

AOLiveMC8: Faysboy asks:

Question: You were great in "Friends." Are you going to be on for a few more episodes?

MeyerD: I'll be on this coming Thursday. And that will be my final episode. And thanks!

AOLiveMC8: MCK1138 has this question:

Question: You've done sitcoms, dramatic series, and feature films. Which format do you like best?

MeyerD: Films!

AOLiveMC8: JMKSPASS asks:

Question: When did you start studying acting?

MeyerD: Professionally about 6 years ago, I think.

AOLiveMC8: DStt260 would like to know:

Question: What would be the ultimate role/character for you to play?

MeyerD: I have to say some kind of psychotic nut job.

AOLiveMC8: LDW00 has this to ask:

Question: What do you think about the situation with your character and Joey in "Friends?"

MeyerD: I think we have an interesting dynamic. People say opposites attract.

AOLiveMC8: NGrimm3 wants to know:

Question: Is it hard to have your privacy with so many fans?

MeyerD: No. I find a way to get away.

AOLiveMC8: E125 asks:

Question: Dina, what do you look for in your leading man?

MeyerD: Talent! Talent, if we're talking about a leading man to play opposite of in a film. But I'd have to say humor in the real-life leading man. Make me laugh! Honesty is up there. Humor and honesty.

AOLiveMC8: Our next question comes from MnLtKnight:

Question: What was it like working with Paul Verhoeven on "Starship Troopers?"

MeyerD: Interesting. He's a very smart man with a strong personality. I admire him because I find him to be extremely talented and able to communicate his ideas. And as an actor, I find that very important.

AOLiveMC8: This question comes from Biking418:

Question: What has been your favorite role thus far?

MeyerD: The role of Dizzy in "Starship Troopers," which is due out this fall.

AOLiveMC8: TRuss24 asks:

Question: Was "90210" your first role on TV? If not, what was?

MeyerD: Yes. "90210" was my first legitimate acting role.

AOLiveMC8: SMILE1784 would like to know:

Question: How hard is it to find a role in a film you enjoy?

MeyerD: It's hard to find a script that I enjoy.

AOLiveMC8: Gnus53 asks:

Question: It seems that in many ways, women's roles are defined by sexuality (a la Sharon Stone), physicality (a la Xena) and niceness (a la Sandra Bullock). If you could chose how people would perceive you as an actress, which would you choose or would it be another?

MeyerD: Sexy athlete, hopefully!

AOLiveMC8: PF2813 has this to ask:

Question: What did you do prior to acting?

MeyerD: I went to college. I got a Bachelor's in Marketing. Actually, a bachelor's in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, and a minor in French.

AOLiveMC8: E125 has another question:

Question: What part of Queens where you from? And do you miss New York?

MeyerD: Forest Hills, and, no, I don't miss New York because I was just there last week. I was there for 2 weeks, actually.

AOLiveMC8: THEOXWOMAN asks:

Question: Can you talk about the new show with David Caruso?

MeyerD: I wish I could. But, no! Sorry!

AOLiveMC8: Rose29073 would like to know:

Question: Do you have any current projects, such as movies that you are working on?

MeyerD: I just finished a David Caruso pilot 2 weeks ago. Prior to that was the "Friends" episodes. And next week I'll be looping (dubbing) for "Starship Troopers."

AOLiveMC8: Our next question comes from LuvPnut31:

Question: Do the people on the set of "Friends" get along as much as is expected?

MeyerD: Yes! Everybody's very nice.

AOLiveMC8: Read That asks:

Question: Did you like working in "Dragonheart?"

MeyerD: Loved it, but I prefer working opposite actors!

AOLiveMC8: TeenCheez has this to ask:

Question: Was it easy being on the camera for the first time?

MeyerD: Yes.

AOLiveMC8: SueSears asks:

Question: Who is your favorite actor or actress to work with?

MeyerD: I haven't worked with them yet. And once I work with them, I don't know if they'll still be my favorites! But I idolize Glenn Close, Meryl Streep, Jack Nicholson and De Niro, to name a few.

AOLiveMC8: This question comes from JMbikeman:

Question: Dina, what is you favorite movie of all time? And why is it your favorite?

MeyerD: I don't have one favorite movie of all time. I have a few favorites. "The Shining" and "The Omen" and "The Exorcist" are my 3 favorite horror flicks. "Clockwork Orange," another favorite. "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest." Oh, and "Fame!"

AOLiveMC8: CYBRTHUG1 asks:

Question: I think your a really great actress and you're fine. Do you have any advice for upcoming actors?

MeyerD: Study hard. Don't lose hope when you get rejected! Don't lose hope or your self esteem! Because, unfortunately, that's what you're doing most of the time (getting rejected).

AOLiveMC8: Biking418 has this to ask:

Question: You've had the opportunity to work alongside one of the great leading men of the modern film era - Sean Connery - as well as with one of the recent funniest casts on TV (or maybe it's just good writing). Which do you prefer: comedy or drama?

MeyerD: I like them both. Comedy is more difficult.

AOLiveMC8: FlyTaggar asks:

Question: What was it like to act out talking to a non-existent dragon?

MeyerD: How would you feel if you had to have a conversation with nobody? As you might assume, strange!

AOLiveMC8: MnLtKnight would like to know:

Question: Hi, Dina! Loved you as Lucinda on "90210." Do you have a fan club address we can write to? And do you sign autographs?

MeyerD: Thank you! And yes. C/o United Talent Agency, 9560 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly HIlls, Ca. 90212. And yes, I do sign autographs.

AOLiveMC8: JMbikeman asks:

Question: Did you do all your own stunts in the movie " Johnny Mnemonic?" You were great in it!

MeyerD: I did most of them. There may have been one or two that were a little more threatening than others, and the director would not let me do it, for fear that I would not be able to keep filming should I hurt myself.

AOLiveMC8: This question comes from TRuss24:

Question: If you could play in any classic movie, which would it be?

MeyerD: "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

AOLiveMC8: O9MM TOOL asks:

Question: Does your star life interfere with your home life?

MeyerD: Never. Sometimes my schedule can be a little nutty, which sometimes can interfere with plans with friends. But I think I have a good grasp on the two. For now, anyway!

AOLiveMC8: SMILE1784 wants to know:

Question: What do you like to do in your spare time?

MeyerD: Snowboard! I just got back from Mammoth this afternoon. I was there for 5 days. It was great! When there's no snow, I like to rollerblade and bike and run.

AOLiveMC8: Our next question comes from Pb1665:

Question: What kind of commitments and sacrifices does it take to be an actress?

MeyerD: That's kind of tough. You have to eat, sleep, and breathe it. You have to be in it for the art. You can't get discouraged easily, and it can be trying on your ego.

AOLiveMC8: Rat293125 asks:

Question: How was working with Jason Priestly on "90210?" Is he a good director?

MeyerD: Jason's great. I had a great time with him. He never directed me. I haven't been watching the show recently. What do you think?

AOLiveMC8: GeekUSA82 asks this question:

Question: Any interesting "Dragonheart" stories?

MeyerD: Yeah, but they're probably a little too long to tell right now! Living in Eastern Europe for 6 months, as you might guess, was an interesting experience in itself. The food was really bad!

AOLiveMC8: TeenCheez asks:

Question: What was your most embarrassing moment on the set of "90210?"

MeyerD: I didn't have any embarrassing moments on the set of "90210!" I can't think of anything embarrassing! I may have forgotten a line here and there, but everybody does that! But that's really it.

AOLiveMC8: Daitokuji has this to ask:

Question: Did you enjoy acting opposite Sean Connery?

MeyerD: I never acted opposite Sean Connery. Sean Connery was playing golf in the Bahamas while we were starving in Eastern Europe! He got to dub his voice in after the movie was done. After the filming was done, anyway.

AOLiveMC8: Agenaise asks:

Question: Is it true that your dad rides a Harley? Signed, a close friend.

MeyerD: Yes, he does! It is true! How did you know that? Close friend? How close are you?

AOLiveMC8: NHLVIKING would like to know:

Question: How did you become a guest star on "Friends?"

MeyerD: I'm not really sure how that all happened, but my agent is also Matt LeBlanc's agent, and I believe my agent speaks with the "Friends" people. And they may have said something to my agent regarding this role, and I auditioned for it and got it!

AOLiveMC8: Our next question comes from Videomax:

Question: What kind of music do you like?

MeyerD: Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Everclear, Sublime, 70's Disco, and Motown. How's that for an eclectic mix? I like to dance to House. I don't like rap.

AOLiveMC8: XBlade666 would like to know:

Question: Were you very popular in high school and how is Nick?

MeyerD: Oh, my god. No, I was definitely not one of the popular girls in high school. Evan? XBlade666?! But you go to my high school, so you should know that! Nick is great! He's washing his truck. Lots of bugs on it from Mammoth.

AOLiveMC8: CDSWANDA would like to know:

Question: I loved you in :"90210:". Is your appearance on "Friends" going to last through the rest of the season?

MeyerD: Unfortunately not. Next Thursday will be my last episode. But go see "Starship Troopers" this fall!

AOLiveMC8: LDW00 has this to ask:

Question: Did you act in high school? Or was acting something you never really thought about?

MeyerD: I had the lead in my 9th grade musical. I've always wanted to act since I can remember. I didn't decide to pursue it until after college because my parents didn't think it was a wise career move. I think they think differently now!

AOLiveMC8: Gnus53 asks:

Question: With your education, do you foresee a time in the future where you may want to switch gears towards marketing in order to recharge your creative acting juices?

MeyerD: If I switch gears, I'm going to produce.

AOLiveMC8: Nicole522 asks:

Question: On the show "90210," who do you feel the most closest to?

MeyerD: I'm not close with any of them. I saw Luke Perry about a month and a half ago. But I haven't called anybody! I don't go out with any of them!

AOLiveMC8: Meggie34 asks:

Question: Dina, do you have any siblings or relatives in the acting business?

MeyerD: I have 2 siblings. I have many relatives. But, no, none are in the acting business.

AOLiveMC8: GAMBA would like to know:

Question: Who is her favorite comedian or comic?

MeyerD: Tough question. I like Eddie Murphy about 10 years ago. I like Tim Allen. I like Janeane Garafolo. And Dennis Miller.

AOLiveMC8: Read That asks:

Question: How does it feel to have an action figure made after your role as Kara in "Dragonheart?"

MeyerD: It wasn't so much the action figure. It was the funky, psychedelic, ax-shopping cart. That the doll came equipped with that I thought was supercool!

AOLiveMC8: BRAT13538 asks:

Question: Do you have an e-mail address for fans to e-mail you at?

MeyerD: No! I'm sorry! But you can write c/o United Talent Agency, 9560 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly HIlls, CA. 90212.

AOLiveMC8: Agenaise has a message for you, Dina:

Question: Would you mind to tell that her neighbors (the Moskowitz's) are here?

MeyerD: LOL! Hi, Seth! Ah, yeah! OK!

AOLiveMC8: Marisa113 asks:

Question: As a kid, were you shy?

MeyerD: Never! The more attention I was able to get, the happier I was. It's funny that I chose acting as a profession, huh?

AOLiveMC8: Ohtocool has this to ask:

Question: What was it like to work with Keanu?

MeyerD: Keanu's a very nice guy. Quiet. He's shy. But quite charming.

AOLiveMC8: Our next question comes from Swann22:

Question: What director would you really like to work with?

MeyerD: Hmmm, I don't know! I'm going to have to think about that! There are a lot of new directors that are very talented that I'd like to work with. I just can't give you the names right now.

AOLiveMC8: MNASCAR asks this question:

Question: How much of your privacy did you give up when you became popular? Is dinner at a restaurant without being bothered out of the question?

MeyerD: People don't bother me. They just look at me. I don't know if they look at me because they recognize me or because they think they know m or because I have something between my teeth or hanging out my nose. Or maybe it's just a really funny outfit I'm wearing. But I don't get bothered too often.

AOLiveMC8: BMoon5975 asks:

Question: Are your friends jealous of your success?

MeyerD: I wouldn't call friends that are jealous of my success my friends. I have only a few friends. And, no, they're not jealous. Everyone else is just an acquaintance.

AOLiveMC8: Swann22 asks:

Question: How did you get started snowboarding?

MeyerD: Started this year. Actually, this season. I've been skiing for about 16-17 years, and, recently, snowboarding began to appeal to me. So I tried it out and spent the day on my butt! But the 2nd day was great, and every day after that has been better and better and better. So I bought my own!

AOLiveMC8: Biking418 has this to ask:

Question: I'm sure everyone has enjoyed watching you on "Friends" the past few weeks. Would you prefer a long-term role in a sitcom?

MeyerD: I don't think a sitcom is really my thing. That's not to say I would never do it. But I guess I prefer dramas over comedy.

AOLiveMC8: This question comes from Cubcel:

Question: Do you feel you have "made it" as an actress or do you have higher goals for yourself?

MeyerD: I always have higher goals for myself. I don't think there'll ever be a day when I say to myself, "OK, I did it." I'll always find something greater to strive for.

AOLiveMC8: Our last question for this evening comes from Bdlight21:

Question: Do you feel the role you played on "90210" made any impact on your current role as an actress?

MeyerD: All roles, I think, influence me. Each one is a learning experience and a chance to explore a certain character, so therefore I, in turn, grow.

AOLiveMC8: Dina Meyer, thank you for joining us and answering our questions. It was a pleasure!

MeyerD: Thank you. It was a lot of fun! Thanks for logging on, tuning in, ******* on or off, or whatever it is you all are doing! And I look forward to seeing you out there! Peace.

AOLiveMC8: Thank you, everyone, for joining us and for your great questions. Goodnight!
