My Thoughts

Over all this movie was entertaining. The direction was
good, and the FX were awesome. Dina Meyer, Michael Ironside, and
Jake Busey were great in their roles (Flores, Rasczak, Levy).
Dina's performance was good enough that my sister cried when her
character died, and I have only seen my sister cry during a movie
on two other occasions.

The major problm I had with the movie, aside from the way it
dumped many scenes and subplots from the book, were some of the
other actors. Clancy Brown (Zim), who was incredible in
HIGHLANDER was only OK in this movie. He looked like he was
having fun, but his performance seemed a little weak. Casper Van
Dien looked the part of Johnny (spelled Johnnie in the book),
but when it came right down to it, his acting skills failed to
capture Johnny's transformation. Van Dien wasn't all that bad
though once you compare him to costar Denise Richards. She
showed no talent whatsoever, except maybe the ability to thrust
he breasts out as far as possible.

Thank God we had Dina and Ironside to really liven up the movie.
